I have this exact same set up, but can't get it to power on. I'm pretty sure it's the wiring. Can you tell me how you ran the cables from the battery to the controller? I ran the positive from battery to controller with fuse in between but I get nothing. Did you run it to the off/on switch?

Yes it’s still going good, I have slotted the rear frame where the axle comes out of the frame so I can tension the chain, the extra power stretches the chain a little, apart from that she boggies

can I install a 36 volt lithium ion battery with single cells without putting a different controller in and what about the reset button where the relay button do you have to remove that because it was set up with two batteries before positive negative running to the Relay can you just remove it altogether not have the relay and just put in those him ion battery and connect it has one without the relay and will it work without changing the controller

Hi you will need to upgrade the motor and controller , 36 volts will fry the standard motor and controller, I put in a 36 volt battery on the standard scooter and the controller burned out instantly, I then put a 36 volt controller in and it burned out the motor, so I built the scooter you see by upgrading the motor as well , it is worth the work as it has lots of power on hills and with heavy people like me , good luck and always put a fuse on one wire exiting the battery, cheers

I had some dewalt battery’s laying around if I use both I get 40v will that be to much for a 36v controller

Hi use a volt meter and check out the voltage, I charge my battery packs to 41 volts , they are lithium iron 18650 cells with no problems, the packs you have will be low amp hour ie they won’t last long , like a 10 amp hour bike battery, cheers, good to test with though
