Macdude Rider thanks! And congrats on another great purchase! Ever take it out to any track days?

+jetstream01 thanks man! I subbed to your channel. I’ve been riding for close to 20 yrs and unfortunately have never been to a track day. Sad I know, I see some of your vids are on public roads. Is the RC a dedicated track bike? Do you still have it?
@jetstream017 жыл бұрын
Macdude Rider thanks for the sub! Yep I still have the RC, I love it. It's actually currently in street form, but I'm trying to go track only just because once you've gone to the track, street rides are pretty boring. I can't afford to ride track every weekend though haha. Do you live near any tracks? The RC really shines on the track. If you don't have a suit and stuff though it can be expensive to get into track days but it's worth it.

Priest grade is a great road! You're just a little south of my stomping grounds in Auburn area. Same kinds of roads up here, and I couldn't help but notice, once again, how clean and safe most all of your lines are. I'd ride with you anytime bro!

Great video. Road racing world magizine did a test to see if swerving back and forth actually warmed up the tires.. And according to their digital temperature device it does not. I think they were inspired to do the test because guys swerving on warm up laps were causing issues with other riders.. just a thought
@jetstream017 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, you're right, it does nothing to warm up tires. The better way to warm up tires on a bike is to accelerate and brake hard...but street tires operate best at the temp they're probably already at. I was swerving to get all the sand and dirt off my tires from that rest stop.

Yup, jetstream01 beat me to it, but I swervy swerv to get dirt or dust of my tires too.

Good Vid, but my RC would have felt held back.
@jetstream016 жыл бұрын
Definitely held back on a street ride. Go watch my track videos if you wanna see a faster pace :P

great bike but your cam gears sound very strange never herd 1 sound like it.
@jetstream015 жыл бұрын
That's just the normal sound for the RC51. I've ridden with quite a few and they all sound like that. You're probably hearing it more than normal because the camera picks it up more for some reason.

I used to run my 2004 RC51 on the track over in Hawaii before they closed it, and my front wheel would never come up when I'd pull hard out of a turn, even the one right before the straight away where most people's wheels got up. Man, I'm fighting to get mine back. The VA illegally towed it from me, I got the charges dismissed, but the towing company refused to give it back without me paying, and the cops wouldn't come make them give it back, since they get kickbacks from them. There's gotta be a way to force that fucking company to give it back, as they are blatantly breaking the law by failing to return the bike to the rightful owner, storage of stolen property, bike theft, extortion for forcing me to pay when CA law says if there's a dismissal or aquittal the owner owes no towing or storage fees. I have a carbon fiber/magnesium dymag on the rear wheel, sato racing banzai carbon fiber exhaust, PC3 which had been dyno'd, and several other parts I paid a lot for. I should just find out where it's being hidden, use my key to take it back, but I'd need help. I just had to say this in a group of RC51 lovers. That bike is my baby, and we've been through a lot together since I got her brand new out of the box in 2004. Anyone with any ideas would be greatly appreciated! If the channel reads this, can you pin this comment please? Thank you much!
