Some months ago I take a cheap chassis and a cheap very little and narrow bodyshell.. I got the best Crawler in our garage ! It was so better than Axial and Traxxas to get the name of "The King". From then to now all the interesting job for us has been to make each Crawler get performance the most similar to "The King". This has made a great growth of performance for all our vehicles. ...in the end our "King" is quite similar to the vehicle in you video (except our is really cheap!) One of the simple teachings is that the main obstacle to crawling performance is the body shell !!

yep! I am awaiting a new RTR gatekeeper, gonna pull the cage off and sell, slamthe frame low and redo susp geometry, and get the powerwagon cab on it. I'm pulling any weight off the rear and top and get brass on the front! should be fun. I always wanted a low CG rig like this, but like your "king"....budget!

These are really just a logical design eventuality. Ultimately it comes down to a balance between scale and performance, and that's the magic of preference, and personalization.

Just built the Gspeed v3 beautiful green carbon on Capra axles and a dropped and chopped rc4wd hardbody. all that is left is the reefs servo that's in the mail and put wheels on it and hit the rocks. Also I'm on the east coast in western north Carolina and this build should be perfect for the location as well. Love the videos and all the amazing builds you showcase keep em coming and Happy trailing!!!!

WOW WHAT A PLATFORM. Freudian caps, I must mean it. I'm amazed by the crawling footage. Clinging is more like it. Your channel is unmatched in the hobby! And then, you mention a place that is just magical for me: 2:11 8:42 and Moab too. Inspiring. I have only a toe in the water. A 1/18 Gelande II. I love it. "1/18" scale has it's advantages but I would love to go upscale. Thanks for the links! Thanks for the knowledge and energy!

It would be very cool to see a full build of one of the lcg crawlers. I think one of the most confusing things with these is knowing what parts to get for a complete rig. Obviously the electronics are easy to figure out, plus the tires etc. I dont think you could just buy the chassis then take an scxii or iii and take the rest of the parts off of it to complete the lcg unit. In order to get the best performance you need to get the right parts. Thanks for this video and I hope you do many more on this type of crawler.

It's doable on Gspeed for Element, but it's not a 1 to 1 transfer and you will need a bit of modding. I also have an Element Enduro, and I recently picked up Gspeed V3 chassis. I have been debating which route I want to take the Gspeed with, use the existing Enduro or just build custom. I ended up going with custom route. That being said, there are other LCG chassis out there for Element such as Deadloc Dredge chassis and GMRC Machette chassis that are more close to 1 to 1 transfer.

Take a look at the recent episode. I did a breakdown on parts and list of things needed as a base. You can also look up the GSPEED FB page for support or the channel as well. Good luck if you start one. gspeedchassis.com

What is ur opinion on upside down shocks to lower CG? Been changing the oil in my shocks and thought it might be a good idea for a crawler

Some guys do it to help the LCG and some do it so the shocks wont leak.... Its really just a preference thing

One reason shocks are upside down is just in case there is any air bubble in the shocks, the air bubble will be at the bottom of the so the shock rod stays in oil during articulation and at rest Wheres as if the shocks are mounted straight and there is a air bubble, the air bubble is still towards the bottom of the shock body thats were the shock is at rest, and it moves without any oil at that spot

Is it just me, or do all HH esc have that loud whine to them? I've heard john say that it's just picked up worse on camera, but any video you watch sounds the same. Pretty undesirable even if it's "just on camera". Thanks for the awesome content Francis! I watch all your crawling vids man. Keep up the good work! Atascadero is sorta far. Anyone as cool doing 1/10 crawling down in the San Diego area?
