Also, if you haven't, you should take a look at the Wingfeather Saga. It's airing for free on KZbin and elsewhere and they're using a really cool, kinda unique animation style that's a 3d/handpainted hybrid with some amazing detail. Also an indie animation studio.

@@chadluetje989 In addition to that, I don't think that THIS is where any writer would practice their dislike of happy endings. Dana seems like a person who cares about her fans. She knows how much this show means to people. And I'm not talking about people like me, a woman in her mid-twenties. I mean the kids who watch the show. Queer kids, neurodivergent kids, weird kids... I seriously doubt she would go and make a show where THEY are the target audience only to end the show badly, make Luz unhappy, kill someone very important off, have Amity and Luz break up or whatever else a "sad ending" might imply here. If this was a Vox Machina situation, AKA a show meant for adults, I'd be much more scared. But since the target audience are kids, and Dana probably knows how much the characters mean to them, I'm pretty confident will get a decently happy ending. We will be emotionally destroyed, but there will certainly be happy tears too.

I remember when people thought that Illumination would ruin the Mario movie and have the Toads or Goombas babble like Minions, but this doesn't look like an Illumination film at all. Heck There are like ZERO Minions on the Illumination logo for this movie, so I have a feeling that this studio will go in a bold new direction. All these announcements about the movie, from the voice actors to the trailers, made this such a fun and memorable experience, even if this movie won't exactly live up to my expectations. And yeah, Chris Pratt doesn't sound exactly like Mario, but it's hard to get critical about his voice when the rest of the movie looks Phenomenal.

"Pixar returning to form if they only ever made Inside Out" Lol That's pretty much why I was so happy with Onward, every movie they made felt like either some strange, spiritual or deeply philosophical movie, or a sequel. And I just wanted a fun adventure in a fun setting with fun characters and it delivered it well. I enjoyed Soul a lot more since Onward gave me that fix and am looking forward to this new movie too!

Thank You Cellspex for your positive take on Elemental. Pixar is incredible at bringing beautiful premises to life in such a magical way. As for Elemental I admire the unique premise Pixar is going for of Love between Fire and Water. The world building is also like nothing ever done before and unlike a weaker Pixar movie like Onward, the world perfectly links with the premise this movie is going for and doesn’t just have anthropomorphic creatures for the sake of being animated. I am genuinely exited for some exploration of this world and the life operates. I am counting on this to be one of Pixar’s return to grace movies. Hopefully it will at least be a step up from Lightyear.

When I saw the Elemental teaser, I loved how unique everyone's character designs looked, but I could kinda see where people were coming from when they said the plot looked like a cliche romance. But THEN, you mentioned how this movie could be good Ace representation and OH MY GOD, how did I not think of that?! I would love this movie forever if it was good Ace rep! Those are always fun to hear, but I think Mario is the exception to the rule due to two simple facts. The marketing isn't telling us much about the story we haven't seen (a somewhat reliable source has told me that), and this is a collaboration, not just Illumination on their own. If it were Illumination on their own, people would be more worried, but thankfully that isn't the case. I think having a crew filled with fans helps in this movie's favor in being a solid movie too, not just Nintendo's involvement.

Same. I FINALLY got properly caught up with it and boy if I wasn’t already convinced it was the greatest Season 6 and 7 cemented it further (especially the Blue Morpho arc). Also re-watched Metalocalypse for the first time in a long time (since despite having the most agonizing long wait time between the final episode and the movie it’s actually the shortest of the three to binge watch), and gotta say it’s not perfect but it holds up surprisingly better than one would expect from an edgelordy adult animated series from the mid to late 2000s. And and in case you couldn’t tell by my icon, Charles is my favorite character and I especially look forward to seeing him again, like he even managed to climb the ranks into my top 5 favorite characters period!

The most important thing I got from this video is that the Amazing Maurice movie is in fact real and not just a collective delusion everyone in the Discworld fandom has been having for months on end. Even though it isn't the best movie, it's definitely a step in the right direction for Discworld adaptations, especially compared to the dumpster fire of The Watch 2021. Elementals seem fun but I simply cannot get behind the character designs. Ember just looks. weird. Wade(? idk water guy) looks decent but idk. I think this art style just isnt for me. Hopefully the story makes up for it. Quite excited for Spiderverse, and cautiously optimistic for Mario and Wish! Mario in my country has the same dub actor as all of Pratt's roles, but HE is actually trying out the italian accent thing so I assume finally seeing it in english is gonna feel weird (personally I dont hate Pratt's performance yet, sounds like it'll be a bit rough around the edges but whatever, but it bugs me that everyone was supporting Martinet while casually ignoring other VAs like Bowser's, who was also passed by, because Jack Black is doing an admittedly awesome job.)

Have you heard the news? Mutant Mayhem trailer should be coming out next week! (Potential at KCA due to Seth Rogen's appearance for the event) I'm not too excited or critical I'm just waiting to see what they have in store. Although I am still very sad about Rise getting the short end I'd the stick. Nick is very capable of making TMNT movies along a series but it has been confirmed all the crew has moved on at this point.
