Reaction - Halestorm - Love Bites (So Do I)

So, for a super fan of The Warning, there is no end to the love and respect for Lzzy Hale and the boys. She/they have been incredibly generous mentors to DPA. Lzzy first saw The Warning when they performed at a virtual concert for the benefit of music venue employees who had lost their income due to COVID. It also happened that the President of Lava records announced that they had signed The Warning to their first major label recording contract. Lzzy was impressed and said that she had to take DPA out on tour. 2 years later (2022), Halestorm kept their word and, with The Pretty Reckless, took The Warning out on tour with them across North America, for the entire summer. Lzzy has been so supportive of DPA in interviews and other media opportunities. Toward the end of the summer, Lzzy surprised Dany by walking out on stage in front of a huge audience and gifted Dany with a "Dany" custom version of Lzzy's Gibson explorer model guitar. You will see her play that guitar whenever DPA perform their version of Enter Sandman. There are a number of videos of this event out there. It is a touching, tear jerker of a moment. I knew about Halestorm, but never really listened to them before their association with TW. I have now know and love their work. They are great live and i got the chance to see them in ATL last September, with The Warning opening for them. Was a great night. I second the nomination of I Miss the Misery for the next Halestorm reaction.

Just in case, what we call "DPA" is Dany, Pau, Ale ;-) And yes, I saw Halestorm at HellFest last month from the front row, and Lzzy is absolutely incredible. Her voice is out of this world, and the whole band enjoys being on stage, it clearly shows ! Thanks to The Warning for making me being curious about Halestorm, they didn't disappoint at all !!

Halestorm started in 1997. Lzzy and her brother Arejay. 14 and 11, respectively. Took 3rd place at a fair. She cherishes that trophy as much as the grammy she has.

Halestorm is as rock as it gets, no gimmicks, just straight rock. The whole band is awesome but you can't deny that Lzzy Hale (vocals) and her brother Arejay Hale (drums) stand out in the rock community. "I Am The Fire" "I Miss The Misery" For a softer more ballad ish feel "Break In" ft Amy Lee or "Terrible Things" ft Ashley McBryde Lzzy can do it all.

I suggest you check out the Japanese heavy metal band LOVEBITES. They named themselves after the title of the HALESTORM song you checked out. Lzzy and HALESTORM performed Love Bites (So Do I) with LOVEBITES vocalist Asami on stage at the Download Festival (March 2019, Japan) and on stage at the Download Festival (June 2019, UK ). In December 2019, LOVEBITES performed as the opening act for HALESTORM in Tokyo. In June 2018, LOVEBITES received the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for Best New Band (London, UK). If you decide to check this band out, you can start with the song Judgement Day for example (The Music Video is on YTube).

@@WhyAmIReacting Thank you . LOVEBITES is the best thing to come out of metal in the last 20 years. But, unfortunately, for most Europeans and Americans, LOVEBITES is like an unknown planet in a distant Galaxy. In terms of individual technical skill, musical material, teamwork, this band is phenomenal and surpasses most European and American metal bands. Fans of the band (Wolf Pack) call them the Goddesses of Metal, many Western music critics call LOVEBITES the Queens of Metal. Since 2017, the band has recorded about 60 original songs and musical compositions (different genres of metal, hard rock, classical music). If you start your journey into the world of LOVEBITES, you will be able to see for yourself. But it all depends on your desire.
