DannymikReacts is back for a 4th reaction to Nightwish. This is a live performance of Storytime from the Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1.5 million fans.

It's all good! I know that Nightwish does this to their listeners but you have to HEAR it to truly appreciate it. I've learned that it takes several listens to hear everything that the band is performing. Reacting to them is NOT easy (because their music has a lot going on at once) but I'm so lucky to be in the position that I am. Nightwish is in my life now because of this KZbin thing and that's something I genuinely appreciate. "Song of Myself" and possibly doing "Noise".... I'll try to record it this weekend.

Being Symphonic Metal allows them to take their music in several different directions. They have the huge epic multipart masterpiece production songs like Ghost love score or "the poet and the pendulum" or "The greatest show on earth". They have several of the more classic heavy thrash metal sound in songs like "Romanticide" or "Song of Myself" or Dark Chest of Wonders".. they even have a very celtic rock sound on songs like "E'lan" and "the Walden".. Your choice, take your pick or like us, love it all.

So this was...as always 🤘 I love that it goes up and down in tempo..don't know the story behind is not that Important to me..from the beginning I enjoyed this and still am...and that is the no1 thing for me! 10th Man Down was the first NW song I ever heard and remains one of my favorites. As much as I love Floor, I think that's one song where I like the classic one a little better. A great live version is from Summer Breeze 2002.

if you wanna meet a woman at a metal show, you go to a symphonic metal concert lol.. i saw within temptation once and it was the opposite outcome of most metal shows, usually its like 90% men and most of the women there are guys that brought their girlfriends, but when i went to see within temptation (took my sister cause its one of her fave bands) it was almost 90% women lol
