Teenage Killers: The Death of Michael Moss | True Crime Story | Real Stories
When a 15-year-old boy was lured to a Liverpool park, attacked, and left for dead, it was dubbed the 'Reservoir Dogs' murder. His three killers were 15.
The teens had seen the Quentin Tarantino movie and wanted to replicate it, even going so far as to sing an iconic song from the film as they committed their deed.
What made these young boys into killers?
True crime documentary featuring obscured reenactments.

OF COURSE it works "for some, not all". The very acknowledgement of that simple fact, nonetheless, refutes the blanket statement in the OP. To rehabilitate the "evil" guys, that is.Especially when the "evil person" is still a youngster whose brain has not yet fully developed (as we know from psychiatry and/or medicine).

I strongly believe in rehabilitation, but I believe there's some acts that a human being can't come back from. It's not even that I believe they don't deserve rehabilitation, I think it's not about that at all, it's about the fact that if these people get out, others will be in danger. Because you can't do something like this, torture someone so violently, without having a serious disconnect in your brain when it comes to other humans beings. You know how it's said that physically our teeth are strong enough to bite through a finger as easily as a carrot, but there's something in your brain that stops you from doing that? like even if you really tried, you couldn't do it because your brain doesn't let you. And I think a normal, healthy brain doesn't let you do something like this to a human being. Normal people aren't even capable of doing something like this to a human. I think if you're capable of doing that, it's impossible to say with certainty that there's no danger anymore for others should they ever be released. No matter how much therapy happens. And that's why I think they should be held for their entire lives, not because after the pain they caused, they don't deserve rehabilitation, but rather because rehabilitation isn't possible.

It's just not right blaming movies, video games, etc. Not only is it extremely annoying; it's also just bs excuses and a cop out. I'm sorry; but there's not one movie, video game, album or song in existence that has the power to turn these "children" into murderers. It's complete nonsense. I won't pretend to know what could possibly be wrong with such kids; but there seems to be something missing from within them that allows them to carry out these atrocities. When they had returned with their friend, they couldn't find him where they left him, but one boy happened to spot him a little distance off, and continued the torture. He was alive when they called the ambulance, and mocked him about the ambulance not being able to see him. 😢😥 These boys certainly, and absolutely deserve to have gotten very, VERY long sentences. Pupil referral units have been effective in supporting vulnerable young people removed from the main stream where their challenging behaviour can no longer be met. In my professional career, I have been inside these PRUs and impressed by the overwhelming positivity of the staff members to effect change in the lives of extremely vulnerable pupils. From the accounts in this documentary, Michael was at last thriving and had built his self esteem to a level where he could have a personal relationship. Michael's mum, the care home, the PRU, Michael's girlfriend or indeed Michael himself are not in anyway at fault for the terrible circumstances that conspired to cut Michael's life so horrifically short. I will never be able to understand how any person could kill an innocent person, especially in such a gruesome way. still, I believe the third boy, the one who confessed, probably isn't an evil killer. It is horrible, what he did, obviously he should've alerted the emercency services but imagine how scared he must have been. These guys he was standing next to had beaten Michael unconscious. If he had try to run, they might have caught up to him and done the same to him. I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong but I don't think he should be considered pure evil.

I believe that the main problem was admitting Bentley + McEefry into the same unit. They were bullies together before admission to the specialized unit + I feel that each, on their own, would be bad enough but together they would be competing as to which one could outdo the other as far as committing the worst behavior. They should have been separated + sent to different institutions. Such a very upsetting case! I also don't agree with the light sentences. The behavior of the 3 youths, they are not "boys", was so horrific that I believe that instead of the judge should have sent each separately to an institution focused on rehabilitation. Also the one boy Neely in confessing the crime to his mom immediately after, confessing to police,+ showing remorse should have been considered by the judge. I don't believe he was as involved in the crime but found himself there. The judge should consider the actions of each youth separately in sentencing.

I have so many questions first and foremost to the facility: when these two boys were sent their they would have received the school records to justify the placement, so WHY weren't these boys separated on different units or something knowing their potential to feed off each other to bully to the point of violence. There must be some accountability by the facility and changes made so this scenario never repeats itself.

'You cannot rehabilitate evil.' I agree wholeheartedly. There are two core personalities that motivate people. 1. Hunger for Power, oppression and putting down of others. These are bullies. 2. Love, and lifting others up, sacrificing for others. I believe these motives are carved out early in life. Every thing they do, is motivated by one or the other. Disabilities and mistakes can cause good hearted people to hurt other people, but they never want to hurt anyone. And they want to make it right if they do.
