Rear Engine Cover Prep and Front Bonnet Repairs started - Hillman Imp MK 1 aka Doris

lots happening and never enough time.
It is shocking but to paint strip, clean, phosphate and prep the engine cover with all its curves and awkward spaces, that is 2 days it has taken me, YES TWO DAYS !
And it is absolutely the worst kind of work.
Still the end result will be good and the engine cover is in fantastic shape under all the bad layers of paint and surface crust, a few dents but in great shape.
Second up was the bonnet, same story, complete pain however the bonnet needs rear repairs and so I started in on that but unable to finish, I think there is probably 3 days work in this alone !
Will it be worth it in the end, I hope so !
