Legit 3 years and counting since I first discovered Phil Daru and this channel and aint a single post I haven’t come away with a wealth of knowledge I can utilize and or share. A real testament to his approach and thoroughness in his teaching method. This one couldnt come at a better time, as I’m managing an ankle injury currently(“typical”inversion sprain; MRI read that the peroneal tendon suffered a minor tear) and am about to begin a physical therapy cycle. Needless to say, I’m going to hold the good folks I’m assigned to; to the Phil Daru standard as it relates to treating and rehabilitating this minor setback. Goal one day is to invest in an official personal assessment(if those exist) and get a base line protocol to take with me and build upon. Sincerely grateful for this guy and most all the good people associated with him. Not to mention, have a totally new perspective of Kevin Lee..wishing him all the success in the world MOTOWN Stand Up

I'm from Michigan so first time I heard of him was when all of my friends from the gym were talking about a Michigan guy was making his debut in the UFC. Watched his debut and have been a fan since. It's definitely been a journey. Kinda hope he goes to Bellator in the future so we can get interesting match ups like Lee vs MVP and such

Chaos push reminds me of indo boards. Take a deck from a regular concave skateboard and lay it on a 3-4inch pvc pipe. Balance the board for push ups and squats, great for developing balance and proprioception. Terrific cross trainer for board related sports; long, short, concave, wake, snow...

Peace Phil; thank you for the amazing content. Always appreciated. I was wondering if you could develop more content on BJJ training recommended (strength training, mobility work, warm up, etc...even what are the best foods to eat) I am kinda all over the place with my training regiment right now; I am looking to really explore combat sports (eg. Bjj) But I also want to eventually get into other forms of MMA. If you can I am just seeking guidance from a man who has such experience in those areas. Iam in my late 30s and struggle at times to stay on the ball. If you can some guidance would be appreciated 🙏🏾 God bless and with you Phil; your family and your movement. Shalom brother.

That toe excercise that Phil showed, I’ve done that with a near 90 degree with my big toe up and little toes down with a structural integration specialist. He then asked me, “are you explosive and light on your feet?” “I was like yea” 😂 this was me overweight at 320 pounds earlier this year. Feet were strong due to 10 years of straight boxing and my trainer had us on our toes all the time. The fuck was Kevin Lee doing?
@deez98052 жыл бұрын
Yo Phil always wanted to know if you manage the diet of your trainees at all. Especially the fighters. You train your athletes hard so was wondering if you had any insight on how you go about it. Or do you just let them decide that themselves with a bit of your recommendations

That form on the reverse hypers is atrocious with all that swinging withouth any control and an excelent way to destroy your back. Zero muscle activation, too much weight used, too much momentum, excesive hyperextension at the top. Absolutely horrible.
