The backstory behind Sonic 2 Time Attack from a technical point of view was interesting to reach the final conclusion. Yes, we all learn from our mistakes after re-testing and oversights. Several times I have thought "I bet I could make a finished version of Sonic 2 Recreation in a level editior with some tinkering." But I never thought if I should. I'm not saying its a bad game, would love to finish it, but it takes a lot of dedication to make a full game. Even in a level editor, without any coding, except for the cutscenes in a seperate program, it still would take a while.

Did Redhotsonic ever finish part 2? I heard it was in the works a while back but damn ,this is so good it feels like a official Sega game, and that's the dream. Ive never been able to figure out to properly disassemble and create my own Sonic games, and there's no Mario Maker equivalent in our future likely so, I'm at the mercy of the amazing modders like RHS :) :)

I just wanna point out, all the faults with RHS v0.90 here also persist on Fusion 3.64, like the Hidden Palace graphical corruptions, Medievel lacking collision, etc. I still remember all this from when I experienced playing said hack (alongside Sonic 2 Recreation) on said emulator like, 7 years ago. I also enjoyed Sonic Bash, even before it's v2 upgrade. I believe this was the first time I saw Sonic 2 Time Attack in action, and might I say, I don't think I ever saw anyone put that much effort into a "cheat trap" system, and specifically for emulators in mind, no less.

Only the Japanese MD2 is a slide switch due to its locking mechanism. The European MD2 is the same as the Genesis 2 with its push-in button :)

Another awesome red hot, tongue licking video from the master of owning every Mega Drive, Genesis and EverDrive model you can think of! And I disagree with a few things that were said in this video, for one, you're not an idiot far from it, you're a very skilled editor at learning the code who has matured over the years and has also become a loving husband and father in the time since these hacks were made. To become the awesome video creator you are today it took a some what retirement route from the hacking scene to achieve the status you have now. We only get better at learning the technology of what we love as time passes so most of the mishaps from your hacks can be forgiven as it was from a time when EverDrives and split modifications were very hard to come by. I'm not trying to upset anyone but the only gripe I have is when you give the verdict of (partially), to me it either works or it doesn't, having to reset and continue from the next playable level just to pass the crashed level or corrupted title card glitch shouldn't really be a passable oversight in the slightest, i'm referring to ''Sonic 2 Time Attack'' mainly as it crashes at the end of Wing Fortress with Super Sonic cancelling out. Any glitch, error handler or crash that breaks the game and hinders you from continue on a normal play means it's f--ked! And believe me I know hundreds of Sonic hacks that do this. But at the end of the day that's just my little nit-pick, I fully respect yours and everybody else's opinions and as I said above, any mishaps these hacks have are to be forgiven as they're made from a time of inaccurate emulator cycles when EverDrives were not fully available. As for the crown jewels, ''Sonic 2 Recreation'' you bet your arse it works on real hardware! That hack is a magnificent gem in the library of great and interesting Sonic hacks. Looking forward to more of your videos redhot Sonic.

If there was another level that also crashed that you couldn't pass, then I'd probably would have said no, but I thought in this case, that would have been too harsh. If you mean Time Attack, that's because you have SRAM disabled and the cheat system can't work without it. Disabling it makes it think you're cheating so it locks up. Enable SRAM and it should work.
