Joplin? Other than red hair and a smile, no WAY! Janis was constantly in pursuit of a man. Talented, the essence of blues, but not particularly triumphant or independent in life. I will bet money on the following. Red is a strong, capable person who will either find a strong worthy dude to roll with or she will be the ultimate nomad. Either way, her future looks bright. No way will she end up like lonely needy Janis. Even with her pops for guidance she got her scoot from basket to running, with lots of custom mods built in. Similar appearance, two totally different women. I’m sure her dad is very proud of her and her growth. Substance over styling 💯 % of the time. Life’s too short….

The Dyna looks good! When I bought my 2000 model WideGlide this past February, I could barely reach the footpegs. Luckily the guy gave me three different seats for it. One is a Corbin two-up. Seat than is for people with normal to short legs, it fits me perfectly. Also, I added mid-pegs thinking I needed them but I never use them, after changing the seat. Tip: I added heel spurs to the forward control footpegs and they feel great under my foot! It no longer feels like my feet are sliding off the footpegs. Best money I spent on the WideGlide!

Awesome, Red, Awesome! Truly, absolutely, this is my FAVORITE RedRider video, bar none! I love it... so proud of you! I genuinely think your dad is a craftsman, and an artist. You and he are a dynamic Dyna dynamo duo! whoo hoooo ! That Dyna looks GREAT and sounds GREAT and (I'm serious) I got a tear when you rode off on it, seriously, can't say enough! Also the comparison pics at the end , holy cow , if you didn't know nobody would even know !! ... what an absolutely beautiful transformation... and oh, by the way, I have enjoyed every minute of your Dyna updates, I genuinely mean that heart felt serious. That's NO crash bike now! I don't even think the tank is sad face. Similar to the "primary" patch, that tank gives this bike class and character. I know you're thinking of swapping out the tank after inspection, but I'd think that through, really hard, cause that flat black look is nice, and with some custom Harley-Davidson scroll work, or Christian scroll work, it would really be okeeday... know what I mean, Red? But, even as she rolls now, that 'ol girl looks so good , I mean seriously , look at her! ... holy buckets! Thank you for sharing this story with us, your "youTube people", I really appreciate all you do, and all your dad does too... you're cool "craftsmanship" and "heart", both of you! 👍💯✌ marcus

Marcus, your comment really brought a smile to my face 😊 Thank you very much for being so encouraging and always leaving such kind words in my comments section! I definitely 💯 know what you mean too! And the more I think of it, the more I feel the tank here belongs on the Dyna to stay! I can’t wait to get a new seat and some different controls so the bike will fit me better! I haven’t made up my mind about the controls yet though 🤔 Have a great day Marcus!

I am thrilled and so happy that the "CrashBike" has gotten all fixed up and can now live the life it was meant to have with you! Congratulations on getting everything back in tip top shape. It sounds amazing and looked so great finally being ridden on the road. I can't wait till you are able to do some vlogs of you riding it in your beautiful B.C.! Woohoo! Congratulations! I'm a little jealous at how nice your new little beastie sounds. You and your dad have done a great job bringing that bike back to where it belongs, in the sun, enjoying the breeze. I'm sure if the sad tank could talk, it would tell you how much it appreciates that you saved your money and chose it. It would tell you how much it thanks you that you took your time to fix its unfortunate quirks that someone else inflicted on it. Now it's enjoying the fact that it can terrorize pigeons again (yep, I saw that lol). Congratulations again on a job well done. Ohhhh yeah, and just so you know.....of course we all like seeing you AND your bikes too. 😉

Hey baby, if you don't know, and you probably already do, harley dealerships usually stock black textured engine paint. The same they used on the evo engines. Make sure you buy "textured" not " wrinkle" black engine paint. It's usually stocked with the detailing supplies and/or motor oil and tyranny oil. For the engine and tyranny, instead of masking stuff off, I spray some in a small bowl and use Q-tips to apply it to the areas that have chipped off paint. It don't look so pretty when first applied and wet. Once it dries it blends in and it is hard to tell the new paint from the old.
@RedRiderCanadaBC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice! I didn’t realize they sold that right at Harley, but I also haven’t looked yet either.

You could install mid-controls relatively easily. The frame already has the mid-position foot-peg mounts, so the brake side is just a bolt-on mid-control setup. On the other side, if you rotate the existing shift lever 180 degrees (you may need to use a shorter lever from a heel-toe setup or you could shorten the existing lever, if necessary), you won't need to modify the primary. The bike will then shift one up, four down, but that's easy to get used to.
