Valor Ridge Pistol Standards were designed to give the individual a "Pistol Workout" program every time one goes to the range. For less than a box of ammunition (47 rounds) a person can practice at short, medium, and long-range with their handgun.
To pass, you must do the following:
Have one or less misses per stage and meet or be under the par time.
To pass the standards, you must be a "go" on 11 out of 13 stages.

This is the value you get from Reid's classes. Fire hose of marksmanship skills and no bull training exercises. My wife and I took their 4 days small arms class. That is 2 days pistol, 2 days rifle. This was for our honeymoon mind you! It changed our lives forever and not just with firearms, but mindset as well. Reid has a beautiful, clean and safe range and classroom. His crew of instructors are some of the most knowledgeable, safe, caring and fun dudes you'll ever meet. We are going back this October for their new neighborhood defense class. This will be for our 1 year anniversary and we will be going back every year if not twice a year when we can afford it. We still have to jump in on one of patriot nurses medical classes. We not only made new friends going to valor ridge, we have new family at valor ridge. You have to train with these guys at least once before the good lord calls you home. Thanks for the videos and all the hard work Y'all put in Reid. God bless and see you in October!!

This isnt relevant to the video but you have one of the cleanest ranges Ive seen. It seems like alot of training ranges dont like to clean up after shooting, I like that you take pride in having a clean range!
@ReidHenrichs

It's old school, classically trained doctrine to do so. Any professional shooters that I know and have shot and trained with do the same thing. Tradition matters, and picking up brass holds you accountable for each shot.

Who ever did the excavating, grading for the ranges at Valor Ridge did a really good job! It's beautiful. I operated heavy equipment for my dad right after high school (worked on excavators,tracked loaders,dozers..etc for about 9 years) then I got into locksmithing. I found something that I actually like doing. I've been a locksmith for 15 years now.

These are great standards, great shooting, great video, which all go without saying. but what really impressed me is how clean you keep your range! (Girls notice this stuff) It's not a sea of spent brass and shotgun shells. You're channel is one of the best, if not the best out there!

I wrote this standard down for my 62nd drill, in my "drill book". Can't wait to give it a shot! I ran the ASP 10-round skill check today. It's very similar to this, just fewer rounds. I spent about 3 hours outside running drills today. I can't think of anything else that I would have rather been doing. I LOVE IT!!!!

Reid, I ran across your channel a view weeks ago; since then I've watched nearly every video you've put out (past and present). You are by far, the best gun channel, and best channel, on KZbin...period; including your history lessons. You offer no BS weapons training/handling and have a precise understanding of what our Founders intended in the Constitution. You are a true patriot. Please, for the love of God, do not stop dishing out videos! Maybe some day funds will allow me to come up to Tennessee to join a class.

Reid, Good stuff. I was dry firing along with you. The 8th stage,... I also got caught up on my T-shirt when we went for the second mag. That was a hoot but showed me I have to dry fire a lot more for that motion. I must say you are a man of standards to leave it in your video. I am fortunate to have just been given access to a private range belonging to a gun store owner I and a few others helped to clean and set up for training only expecting hamburgers and soft drinks. Guess you do get back when you give, pressed down and running over. I can't wait to get an open slot to give this a day at the range work out. Thank you so much for your online efforts and showing your faith, in the open. God Speed!

I would like to see someone do this with a beretta jetfire, ruger lcp, NAA .22lr revolver, j frame .38 , or a bond arms derringer. Those are all guns people carry most often. I strap my glock 22 on when I go to the grocery store but I work in a gun free zone behind a barbed wire fence so I take the ruger lcp to work. Most folks don't even do that.
