The "I ain't never seen..." one isn't exactly full of grammatical errors - it's just nonstandard grammar (AAVE, specifically) - it's self-consistent, not just random errors, and certainly conveys a certain "feel". I wonder if using a stereotypical Japanese dialect (is Kansai the go-to one for comedy?) would help convey this.

I'm not an expert in Vtubers and definitions of words can change, but I have used and seen used the word Oshi as a noun for the person you idolize. e.g. "My favorite Vtuber is Gawr Gura. I've been watching her since her debut. She is my Oshi!"

With the autumn equinox coming up next week, do you have any plans on showcasing some of the autumn theme foods and places in Japan? Personally, since I've only just moved here, I've been surprised at just how much sweet potato-themed stuff has appeared on the shelves. Not that I'm complaining because sweet potatoes are great diet food.

@@reinascully I learned it from my senpai 🤓 I live in Hawaii and we have a pretty diverse community here. Part of my family came from fukuoka and mixed with other ethnicities, especially the local Hawaiians (represent 🤪) while here, and at some point I came along. Lol I'm a mix of a lot of things. Moshi mo, if you didn't know, there's tons of different generations of Nihon kara no kata desu yo. So growing up, I learned a mix of different languages, like hawaiian, even though I took Spanish in highschool for 4 years, and then went to college to learn nihongo for 2 years... Luckily, along the way, gakkou kara no nakama connected me to a few jobs, with Nihon kara no kaisha's de, I learned more formal and teinei Japanese. Lol sorry for the jinglish. And so, I worked for the Avex group at one point, specifically the 24karats SURF no omise ni. It was such a trip, only cause it was chotto kibishii to omotteimashita. Sugoku Nihonppoi no kaisha deshita. I mean duh, 'Nihon kara' datte... Lol demo sa... sono mae ni wa, America no kaisha de shika hataraite inakatta node, sore shika shirimasendeshita... It was super cool though! Keigo made mo naraimashita. Tatoeba sa; 'Goran ni narimasu ka?'tte to ka, 'moshi nanika attara, oshatte kudasai' mo yoku chanto iimashita 🤪 It was a pretty 'futsu' Japanese company setting, but in hawaii, in the US. Lol It's been a few years since I had to use my formal speaking skills and reading or writting (which more or less wasn't needed as I worked with natives who did most of the relay to HQ back in Japan-Land over emails) and I was mainly on the floor, with the okyakusama, which Btw was majority 90% Nihonjin, US ni iru no ni... Longer story short, I've found your channel pretty recently, even though I've known of you from years ago, and am soo happy in the content! It's helping me learn again and new things I didn't know about the language and culture especially because, Nihon ni itta koto nai desu yo. And so, I'm very pleased. Anyways, iroiro oshiete kurette arigatou gozaimasu 🙃 kore kara mo yoroshiiku onegaishimasu. Also, goshujin-san to ki wo tsukete ne, with covid ❤️ lots of love from Hawaii 😇

The, ”I am diarrhea,” phrasing from the workout video definitely conveys the feeling of having it. 🤣 It reminds me of those Pepto jingles, "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea - Yeah, Pepto Bismol" On a semi related note, with English it's, I'm hungry, yet we -have- diarrhea. Meanwhile, in German, it's I -have- hunger. I don't know how long they've been preemptively avoiding the, ”Hi, Hungry; I'm Dad,” joke.

So, about "utsuwa ga chiisai", could "utsuwa" mean "vessel" in the sense of "cup/bowl"? _If_ that is the case, maybe the mening of "their vessel is small" can be understood as "their cup overflows easily", in the sense that they can't take much provocation before they get upset. What do you think?

I love learning about the context to words and phrases. It's all about the connotation for me, and I really don't want to mess that up. I'm currently obsessing over how butt dial and booty call are the same denotation and completely different connotations. Is there anything like that in Japanese? Or maybe phrases where if someone translates it literally, the meaning is just completely lost?

I just assumed that foot fetishes came from the fact that we don't often see other people's feet uncovered, so people have a mystique about what other people's feet look like, just like how certain other body parts are always covered except in encounters of intimacy. I didn't know there was a neurological reason for it??

Pretty sure that foot fetish homunculus thing is purely speculation and armchair neuroscience. It doesn't really seem to explain all that much about foot fetishism. Like if that were why, then wouldn't women have about the same rate of foot fetishism as men? If the explanation is the touch sensations for those body parts being close together in the brain causes them to be associated, then why isn't it about trying to have their own feet touched and mostly seem to be about other people's feet? The visual cortex is elsewhere in the brain but a lot of foot fetishists like looking at feet. Etc.

If you want to learn useful phrases, you may want to check out Reina-sensei's _several_ other videos on the subject. The purpose of this video was most likely entertainment, but in my experience you can learn a lot from a country's foul language - not least of which is what _not_ to say.
