Thanks! Guys, you've given me valuable information, support, and encouragement to be a better Gay man who understands how I fit in the LGBTQ community. Eventhough I am a 70-year-old disabled bedridden resident in a nursing home facility, I'm contributing what I can to your efforts for the good of the Brotherhood of Gay men. ❤

I absolutely love this episode. as a 67 yr old. I have experienced most of the situations you discussed. I'm going to save it to watch it again and again. I also send it to a few friends who can benefit. I'm still trying to find myself, and some of your suggestions will definitely help. THANK YOU

I have watched this episode several times, and each time, something different rings a bell with me. I just came out to my family after hiding for 8 decades, and the response so far has been acceptance and love. My son-in-law has gay friends and I have asked him to introduce me to them so I can begin finding others like me and who can help me to expand my horizon of those I can openly relate to and learn from. Thanks to the three of you for your being there when I needed to hear that I am OK as I am.

Change can be terrifying, but it can also be great! I think the hardest part is to realise that we need to reinvent ourselves, of course dating to start changing is very difficult, but realising it is just almost impossible sometimes for a lot of us. I’m very grateful for finding you guys, every episode is very special, and I’m always looking forward to hearing you. Warm hugs

You guys are amazing. Your podcast helps me a lot (and I am a straight girl). Currently reinventing myself towards the creative being that I truly am (and always was as a child but then later in life lost it more or less). In my case this is singing and dancing. Kind of hit rock bottom last year, husband left me, moved out, me being alone and also dealing with health issues. But I see the way out of this and also go it in reinventing myself. Or for me the term works better, that I am just coming back to who I truly am. Of course combining this with my experience and being as an adult woman. And also currently welcome the thought that I will be able to have a true loving relationship with a man again. So thank you three for your thought and Inspiration. 🌷

I am new to the gay world. Well kind of at 44 I came out. that was last year. This has been the hardest most challanging year of my life. Losing my job my house and so much more. I Just recently found you guys and it's so good to see all the topics you cover but this one has touched me the most. with so so many struggles ahead some days I ask myself was it worth it after 44 years what did or will I gain.

Was a straight A student, AP scholar, went to church twice a week even after my family stopped going; was the best kid anyone could ask for...constantly physically & mentally abused, threatened to be 5150'd, had cops called on me all the time, always told NO-that was the only word my parent ever said to me, NO. So nothing I did or will do will ever be good enough. & I've done a lot to advocate for myself & care for myself but that is always a big big part of my mental state.

I discovered during 2022, that I'm most likely autistic. I had to reshape my self image to really fathom this extra dimension of me, that there's something going on with me aside from being gay. learning from other autistic people on tik tok has help me understand myself, more than watching gays on tik tok. gays on tik tok are always really sassy, but it was going through autistic people on tik tok that really opened the door to, "here are traits you have, and here is a new world of everyone with these traits". but I will say in reflection, its weird to have something about you that you dont know. and then, you find it out at 31

Can’t help thinking, “ Here we go again, gay man equals handsome young man “. Just as I never saw myself represented when I was a child or teen or indeed, in my twenties or thirties , I’m not not seeing myself as a sixty something. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Careers are so important, or seem so important, for our survival, whether physically, socially or personally. Just remember you are not your career. I have spent decades seeing myself as my career. I didn't fully exist separately from my career. And that has left me miserable at times. As you search out how to improve or change your career, please don't forget that you're so much more than how you earn a living. Be good to yourself. Sometimes being lost is not such a bad thing. Maybe this is a chance to decide what you really want and to find a way to get there.
