When you remove the gearbox the engine will start to tilt down toward the rear as it's only being held by the engine mounts, I have a small jack with a block of wood under the sump to keep the engine from sagging too far down, you can also much around with the tilt to slide the input shaft in if you need to because the non-removable gearbox crossmember doesn't allow for much movement!
