Violet's tale happened in 2005 (two zero zero five) and Jenny and Screech's tale happened in 2019, 14 years later. Twins separated at birth and then Screech ends up killing his twin without knowing she existed. Jenny inherited her mother's silence and Screech inherited his father's violence. Another interesting part is when he knocks on his friend Patrick's door and he wasn't there and then calls his girlfriend who said she was busy was because they were actually together behind his back.

apparently the whole thing is based on a news article about a young prostitute being killed by a 14yo kid... (the relation between the two and Violet's story were later additions). Ren wrote the first 2 stories (and a bunch of accompanying instagram videos) to begin with, and a few years later revisited the project to give it this tragic prologue. there are multiple hints at jenny being a prostitute (despite the young age of the twins)... she is walking streets she knows and has walked before, in high heels, deep in the night, she leads a life she wants to escape from... even in the second song, Screech calls her a lady, which could just be a random choice instead of woman, but could also allude to 1, her being a lady of the night, or 2, her looking older to Screech than she is because of the hard live she lived (but on this last bit I am reaching, probably)
@declan781 Жыл бұрын
If it's the story I'm thinking of, she wasn't actually killed by a 14 year old. Lynette White was a prostitute who died aged 20 (she had been a prostitute since the age of 14). A man was eventually imprisoned for her murder as a result of "familial matching", where his 14 year old nephew was a partial match for the killer and the police were able to use this to obtain enough evidence to eventually convict his uncle.

@@jasonbuckley4118 Yeah i would say you have got a lot of that completely wrong.. but good effort... you do need to learn to spell though. It is clear that Jenny is a very young prostitute. So that is far from having a normal life..She was however like her mother quiet and timid.
@jasonbuckley4118 Жыл бұрын
@@rimskykorsakov2892 as i said. judging by the melody and implying the logic that the other 2 do follow, it would imply she had a normal life despite the lyrics. hence why i said that in the explination. but even if it is the case that she was a young prostitue, im not completely "Wrong" in your words. beacuse i did say in the last bit of jenny's melody that it was " a mellow dralled out bardic tune" at the end. and if you read the whole thing, how the bardic tune is played out implies alot. through Violets tale her Sorrowful tune plays like acceptance and resigns herself to the life of abuse. The change between the start of Jenny tune to the a mellow and dralled out tune would imply a change of circumstance and acceptance to herlife. since we don't have any information on jenny besdies that she grew up in foster care and ended up walking the streets, the only implication we can make on the drastic change would be her acceptance of that part of being in her life. So the theory still stands beacuse her tune was joyful at the start and sorrowful at the end. and why be a complete douche? and go out of your way to say i'm completely wrong. 1st you got no clue? did you write the story ? are you in contact with ren with this theory as well and happened to get feed back on it before me ? its a theory, with all the information we possiable know, the point of a theory is to be critical, analyze and either enjoy or dislike is. dont be an asshole and just go "nope your wrong beacuse 1 thing you said doesnt fit in this bubble of a story" (there also ending ominous plucks at the end of all of the intros that implies someone will die in the story But didnt include that beacuse its nothing to do with the melody being an introduction of their life ) edit: i also have dyxlesya and type a good 2m from my screen, so while i write paragraphs of information i will either didn't realise i spelt something wrong or didnt catch it while i proof read my comments. also rereading my Theory, The only intrumental in the melody could imply that part of her life as well. as i said The Melody theory is based on the their life and what the melody could imply, as we have alot of information for James and Violet its accurate. with jenny we can only Interupt.

yes, someone else who get's it... also, "slice the rose off your cheeks" heavy makeup, "bust her in the breast", nice play on words there, but also, they were mostly exposed, otherwise he would have said chest. I am certain he played Violet the way he did to make that connection, but people don't want to hear it. Why would only one half the equation "fit"? Nope, they both do. ... also the connection to Violet is she is ALSO called "A Lady". ... just heard that this time through... .... and the elephant in the room, incest babies, leave home to protect them, hook up with the first person you can to cover it... yeah...
@dehro Жыл бұрын
@@grimmliberty7447 I believe (but I might be wrong, haven't got the lyrics in front of me, that the words are "turned to butter in a breath" as in, the same person who was stiff and rigid and couldn't/wouldn't move, was struck down and slumped on the ground like so much melting butter. as for the incest babies.. I don't think that's necessarily true... to get a flat from welfare at 16 (and probably be emancipated) would indicate that authorities were involved, and I would assume that such an unwanted pregnancy would be dealt with.. furthermore, we know she moves out at 16, but we have no idea when she meets Stevie... years could have passed.. I think it's more likely she just made a home with yet another abuser because that's all she knows.. and that he is the father.

What I find amazing about REN’s style and his incredible talent. Is that, I doubt there is any other form of story telling, Like: A regular song, tv show, comic book, novel or full length movie. That could even come close to conveying as much emotion or as completely examine and express the characters of this story, Nearly as well as ren’s unique way of doing it. I think that, I could watch a full length 2 hour long Hollywood movie about these characters in this story. And I would not come away understanding Jenny, screech and violent as much and feeling as much emotional impact as I did from ren’s story about them. And that is absolutely incredible and a very special talent he has.

As others have hinted, Jenny's story is what Ren heard. I believe it was a young prostitute slashed to death on the streets. The report ended with the reporter saying, "it's such a shame", bringing to mind how we are becoming more and more desensitized to these types of tales. So, Ren took that story and added two layers on top of it to make it an even bigger "shame" to try and shock us out of our complacency. Also, as others have stated, Ren added a whole other layer when he released some IG shorts to promote Violets Tale (I believe) where his phone was "stolen" by "Screech" who then posted snippets from his own adventures with the stolen phone and ending just before the events of Jenny's Tale. This marketing ploy almost got Ren's IG banned and he lost followers because he told it in such a way that it was believable. I think he had to reveal it was not real before he wanted to because of this.

sorry to so this !...but ren read about a 14 year old boy who murdered somebody in a local news paper. then started on the sreech part( with the other parts story of screech video) then the other two in duality...... thus the triolgy was born! Barcore🏴☠
@robmarar Жыл бұрын
Ren call this style Bardcore and here's the origin story of the trilogy 🤩😁🤯 This wasn't originally a trilogy story. Ren read in the paper one day with a small article about a 14 yr old boy killing a young prostitute in an attempted robbery and then being shot and killed by the police later that evening. It disturbed him, so he set out to write a commentary on not just senseless violence, but on how desensitized we are in today's society. This wasn't big news, it wasn't even front page, being buried somewhere 0n pg.6 or 7. The main example of this is in the words he ends both Jenny and Screech's Tales with "It's such a Shame". We say these words all to often and just move on without a second thought. The article quoted the lead inspector at the scene say " So Young, Its such a shame" shaking his head, he walked away. Violets Tale was written over 2 years later adding another layer of commentary by Ren. Not only generational violence but making us think of how both these lives be so cursed. Born out of violence on the same day and then both killed with brutal violence on the same night. Also, his lyrics have multiple meanings if read in between the lines you'll more then likely hear something that'll make you think. Here's an example of things that made me go Hmm...🤔🤔 Example: Jenny has the same traits as her mother Violet, quiet, voiceless, and timid. Where as Screech mirrors his father Stevie in every way, Loud, obnoxious, and easily prone & provoked to violence. They didn't know one another and had never met their biological parents. Yet, what made these kids so much like their parents? Was it simply Nature, inherited traits in their genetic make-up or Nurture, being brought up in the broken system of broken children? Love your channel, Cheers 🥂
@jonbruton3557 Жыл бұрын
As I've read it both Jenny and Screech were real people. Ren read the newspaper one day in 2019 and buried on the 6th or 7th page was a short "write-up" [I guess you'd call it] on the tragic death of two teenage people; a girl, Jenny [a young prostitute], and her killer [proper name James somebody] known in the Neiborhood as Screech. [Both 14 or at least Screech was] [the article ended calling it such a shame] He thought that kind of news [of the decay in society that resolves in such ways] deserved more attention. So, he wrote the first two of the trilogy shortly after reading of them. These few years later he took on the task of writing a fictional story to further drive home the point that this continuing cycle of violence and decay in society should be paid attention to. So, the entire Violet story he designed to fit the personalities of those two and how they are made. Very impressive writing [and storytelling] and motivation resulted in Violet's Tale. Easily imagined they were brought up in separate foster homes. Jenny took on the quiet nature [still nature] of her mom [freezing in her tracks, unable to move when commanded to give up her goods] while Screech took on the character of his father. 14 years after two zero zero five they met each other probably for the first time and a newspaper article on the 6th or 7th page is what became of it. [as Ren has imagined it for us] His story telling has purpose. Real purpose. That is what has him stand alone [it seems] in today's society. [unique as an artist]

People often forget (or never knew) that Romeo and Juliet both die at the end of the story. We don't hear a lot of Shakespearian tragedy in movies and songs today, but I would put this in that category, and Ren a modern bard. This is art at a different level. When he's putting away the cell phone and there's no other sound, he still keeps you engaged simply with agitated, heavy breathing - no words, no music, just breathing - brilliant. I doubt this is based on a single true story, but sadly it's not an unbelievable story. Maybe it's a cautionary tale telling us to break the generational trauma patterns so we don't pass it on to our kids. I don't know. Read into it what you will.

That technique you were referring to might be melismatic vocals. I could also be talking out of my a$$... An example of melisma is the song “I Will Always Love You” which was written by Dolly Parton. Performed by her and also Whitney Houston. Listen to both and you will see the extra notes Houston uses. In the word 'I', she extends it beyond one syllable to like... 5 syllables? (maybe more???). Then again, I feel it wasn't the same sort of thing. Dragging out, "Soul" to be "s o o o o o u u u u l" by purposefully putting in breaks. Hmmm, I don't know... but... But it seems like you missed the messages of each song, my interpretation of each is jenny’s tale is based on knife crime as that what inspired it along with screeches tale but screeches tale adds in anger, loss of control and the feeling of everything spinning, then violet’s tale is where it gets heavy with child abuse/child sexual abuse, absent parents into probably sexual abuse and domestic violence and it ending showing us generational abuse and how jenny inherited her mothers silence/freezing up while screech inherited his fathers anger and violence. All in all you asked if it was based on a real story so the answer is yes they happen everyday and continue to.

This style that we just witnessed and is rocking our brains has been coined as "Bard Rock" , which is fitting. Glad to see a back down at the end. It hits hard.... I get it ... Wait ... We get it, friend :) ... But might I say this ? I feel during, the tale of Jenny & Screech, Ren looks at the camera to leave the viewer with the feeling that they are viewing through the eyes of the name sake of each song. Hence the camera falling whence shot and we fall with Screech. However Violets tale is filmed as a viewer and not as the victim. ... We are the victims of this brutal truth and Ren knows this by singing and straight to our faces. What can we do to stop this sort of thing ? Ask your self ... What is the difference between Violet and violence ? Sounds one and the same to me (as deep bruises are purple). We are victims to a well strung tale. Left bruised. Thanks for joining the renegades and this rabbit hole that is Rens' music.

I think the looking into the camera parts were to emphasis the aggression, to force us to be in the victim's place. Which works, because the first time I saw Violet's Tale, I seriously nearly had a panic attack and had to stop mid-song to calm down. I was freaking out.

Hello This is my first time seeing one of your reactions. I noticed your comment regarding his "breaking the fourth wall" which very few people have noticed, or have the knowledge of what that means. It gives me the belief that you have seen "HI REN", which is the first time I've seen him do it in one of his videos, and am slowly thinking that's where you noticed it also, as he actually says he's doing it in his lyrics (while he in the devilish voice of his delusional inner thoughts that he used to/and quite possibly still hears due to the psychosis that began when he was only nine years old, and he has been experiencing throughout his lifetime ever since he was only a child at nine years old, with nearly 10 years of his time being bedridden due to his lyme disease, (as well as other illnesses and incorrect diagnosis and wrong medications he was given playing a very large role of that) He talks about everything incredibly courageously, and openly in his biography. If you haven't seen or read it, I highly recommend that you do. It is an extremely inspiring, as well as painful thing to read and comprehend the magnitude of everything he has gone through, and still does (to a much lesser extent, but still to the point he still has to take a regimen somewhere in the neighborhood of 40+ pills a day. He and his ability to keep pushing on to create the music that he does is nothing less than extremely inspirational. Anyways, back to your question asking if his lyrics to his songs like these three, the answer is that they stem from truth. He is truly one unique and extremely talented musician. singer, rapper, writer, composer, story teller, producer, and much much more! P.s. Keep up the good work!

I keep telling myself that I'm gonna pick something new, something different tonight. Maybe some Guns n Roses or Nirvana or anything from my youth... Depeche Mode or Tears for Fears Maybe? No... I come to Ren every time. I don't want to, but his lyrics, his absolutely amazing guitar skills.... it brings me back to him every time.

Ren read an article about a 14 year old boy who killed a prostitute at an attempt robbery, and later was shot to death the same night. The police said 'So young, such a shame.' The knife crime in the UK is increasing significantly in the past recent years. It is depicted vividly in this trilogy. Thank you for the reaction.

As I understand it, the "Tale of Jenny" is based on an a "True Story" of a girl being killed, and then Ren created the rest. There's actually even more, with a video of Ren AS Screech (showing his world) along with other pieces of it. What's wild is, The Tales of Jenny and Screech were done in 2019 (2005 + 14 (Screech's Age), but Violet's Tale was done 3 years later in 2022.....but they appear to be seamlessly woven together as One.

i would like to point of something with the begining melody for every tale is a reflection of their lives. (All parts sperated in line are their Group. so its not just jumbles of paragraphs.) (this theory is from the story Ren has painted NOT from what the story was isnpired from i.e the 14year old boy killing a prostitute) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jenny : A jovial bardic tune and Escalating Scheme tampered off with a serenade trumpet over a much more calm and mellow dralled out bardic tune. A girl who Depsite being adopted had a normal life, following a rotuine everyday, peaceful upbringing. she was also the only one with a Instramental introduced in her melody. (alittle hard to Completely anylze Jenny life but gonig off the other 2 melodies this kinda is what it implies) (also note that this is more about what the Melodies refelct where their life should be, so with the lyrics "Jenny walked this street about 1000 times before" "she stayed still as a statue in high heeled shoes" it does imply that she was she walking the streets, but the melodies reflect that she accepts that as her life and is the only way i can justify them relating) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- James / Screech : starting with a calm and almost hopful bardic tune with the last notes seeming femboding transintioning into a dramtic veriation of the orignal bardic tune with Dramtic energy with Strong Dominating Cords followed by and ending with a Tentative Scheme. A boy Who Found a Difficult time being in the Foster System, Bonucing from houses eventurally Stuck with a Abusive Man, James grasping at anything he can have control over, Finding any excuse to be out of house and crashing with friends, using drugs as an escape, not plannng his future so everyday was will of the moment and making those impactful days an Event! and didn't handle pressure well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra information and backstory: (not finding out his GF is cheating on him with Patrick) (for those who don't know how i got all this info look up "Ren - Screech's Tale Instagram Stories",) (didn't handle pressure well is from a specfic moment in Screech's instagram stories near the end. no spoilers 😛 ) a direct Quote from Ren. Ren - For the promotion of this song I wanted to do something different. One of the most challenging things about making music is making people invest in the stories you're trying to tell... so at the risk of sounding like a psycho... I thought the best way of making people care about the characters I created was by making them real, really real. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Violet : A Peacful Bardic start imediatlly overpowered by a series of Guitar Tapping with the occasional overbearing Pluck causing a chaotic start but than esclating into a rythm, eventurally slowing down into haunting vocals over a now Sorrowful baric Tune. (her melody is so much more diverse and chaotic beacuse of so much happening to her) An Ordinary Girl happy girl growing up getting thrown into a blender of uncomfortable situation of abusive father and alcholic mother, in those where she could ask for help from are the ones abusing her, causing her to shutdown into herself and become disbondent and quiet, eventurally becoming possiablly a everyday occurance, finnaly escaping into a home and slowing down into a new life, than meeting Stevie although normal a first to the point where he manages to move in with her the signs start to show and closes her self off as "history Repeats herself". she starts to resigned herself to this life. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (also the start of her explination IS of my opinion beacuse if following the logic of all the melodies applies than she would of had to be Growing up Normal and not abused till later and having a normal life at first, i have contacted Ren about this theory about what he thinks of it. I will fact check and edit according to his interputation of the theory and add any bit of backstory i find to violet before she was abused)

Couple things the character guitar intros my also reflect. Screech - fast paced riffs as ren comes down the stairs, could indicate screech running from the murder scene, slowing down at patricks as he runs out of breath. Violet - finger tapping riffs before the ghostly singing, could indicate doctors, nurses & surgeon all scurrying to attend to Jenny. Regardless if I'm right or wrong. Ren is deliberate in every choice/action he portraits for us to decipher.
@jasonbuckley4118 Жыл бұрын
@@DukeOfTwist i reason i decided not to include anything from the tales is beacuse the Melody is at the begining of The Tale hence why i think its a reflection of their lives. But its all up to interupation, i dont mind you additions either. Cheers for reading the theory.

It looks like you didn't "get" the twist and the reveal at the end. Jenny and Screech were twins who, because their mother, Violet, died in childbirth, were likely separated at birth and didn't come across one another until 14 years later, they met in an alley and Screech killed his twin sister. Screech was abusive, like his father Stevie, and Jenny is quiet, like her mother Violet.
