The Bass Player drove down to share a few reactions. We had a great time, so I hope you guys enjoy it as well. Everybody, try to give him a pass on the boastful comment. He's not as fully aware of the many works that Dimash does as a genuinely humble and giving human being.

People who don’t like Dimash or his music are an odd breed. Trying to convince them otherwise achieves nothing as their preferences are not based on the normal hunger and appreciation for accurate musical art and sound practices. Many have heard mostly from an output that was habitual culture, peers, households driven by others. They have not necessarily come across developed musical styles that give them full appreciation…..or perhaps do not really get turned on by music at all. With Dimash, you get a great gift. His last name, Qudaibergen, means Given By God, and his grandma had a premonition about his future career before he was born. His mum is an operatic high soprano with staccato, who sings onstage with his dad, and they are or were involved in musical arts education at government level and productions of musical concerts. Now his dad accompanies him and helps run his concerts. Dimash has been awarded as a Kazakhstan National Treasure, has studied singing and piano since 5 years old. He has degrees…and a Master’s in Musical Composition, is studying a Doctorate at present, and plans to continue with studies in America as the future unfolds. So his upbringing proves that fate placed him and his extraordinary talents and abilities in very good hands for the benefit of mankind. He is helping to put back into music what Hollywood destroyed. All that is without yet mentioning his frequencies which are known to heal and refresh. Some clinics use his songs to heal depression, and many fans who listen to him frequently claim to have received varying degrees of healing and or relief. He is only just getting started. The base player…. it is not possible to think of Dimash as boastful or arrogant. If you watch his fanvids, family tribe smorgasboards and get togethers, his travels with friends, associates, and concert teams, and going through airports, you will see that he loves everyone and they all love him. He broadcasts armfuls of love from his stages. He is Asian, with beautiful Asian manners, is more humble than anyone I’ve ever seen, has an exemplary character, and friendly and beautiful personality. In his movie style song vids, he is excellent at portraying the character of the movie and song The only pride you will see is of his family and nation. They are often there in cultural songs and dances, and are absolutely beautiful. So in Dimash’s case, it is better to shut up about any form of arrogance, as that will only backfire on the person who utters such a thing.

Sorry, but we came here to see your reactions on Dimash. He is incomparable, Fed Mercury is incomparable, MJ is incomparable. Dimash is a huge fan of them. He is a humble boy, super friendly, gentleman, and he calls us dears because he considers us his family. He is considered an "Ambassador of PEACE!". React to his song "War and Peace" created by him and his Chinese friend who beautifully performed at one of his concerts in Ukraine in 2019. Dimash sings in 10 languages, plays seven instruments, is trained in opera, bel canto, lyrical singing, rock, pop, jazz and recently completed a doctorate in composition. In the future he will dedicate himself to composing sonatas and other classics. He is no ordinary man. In his Kazakh tradition his name means "The One God Sent" He is indeed the gift that God sent us to bring us back to revere and admire the true art that Dimash represents. Hug from Brazil.

Ty for reacting to Dimash he is def 1 of a kind. I think though showing what you are capable of is not necessarily boastful and kinda the point when you're performing? Dimash is an incredibly humble, gentle human being who values his fans and people in general. I remember after watching him sing opera 2 and knocking it out the park on the singer(2017) he asked his dad twice if his performance was ok..like seriously? He is absolutely the best vocalist of all time and his undeniable ability does not detract from the incredible performer, singer/song writer Freddie was or any of the greats for that matter. Across the board Dimash outsings artists as we know them irrelevant of genre ...I get that a lot of it is relevant in terms of taste and preference but it is undeniable when you hear him (whether you like his style or not) that he does have a range that is unsurpassed and he does have incredible vocal control, breathe control and great tone whether he is singing high or low in chest or head or mix which is seldom the case with singers...even I can sing low and relatively high notes but eventually I start sounding like someone trying to play the violin on a loose fan belt. Dimash does his entire range well and pleasantly. Just to add as a side note: banter can be fun and does make things more entertaining but too much sarcasm and arguing makes things feel a little awkward and uncomfortable at times 🤷

Thanks for your reaction! Dimash is indeed the best vocalist of the history (male or female) not only because his insane range but also because he has a total control of his breath and of his voice in all registers, and he can sing every genres and styles, in 13 languages. He is, as said by another commentator, the ultimate performer. I cannot imagine how he will be in some years: he is the only one able to improve perfection. You can see how humble and nice guy he is in this video (and in others), he always thanks musicians (and Igor when they performed together) at the end of his performance. At the end of his concerts, he thanks all people on stage with him, nominatively. If he shows a total confidence on stage, in real life he is very humble, always polite and respectful, with a lot of humour and has a very impressive knowledge on philosophy for a young man like him. Dimash is a gift to the world, beyond borders and cultures.

"He exploits the range that he can do"? That's hysterical. Would he say Tiger Woods exploited his golfing skills, or Kobe Bryant exploited his basketball skills? That's how silly his statement sounds. I'll blame it on his youth to make a statement like that. And to say Dimash is sometimes boastful and Freddie wasn't? That's just as funny! I'm only one year younger than Freddie would be if he were still alive and have been a big fan of Queen since I was 27 and followed their career throughout. Freddie could be VERY boastful when he wanted to be and when he was feeling particularly cheeky. The kid needs to think twice before he makes some of his statements. 😆

@Barbara Saracini Very well said! Thank you. That exploiting one´s abilities is boastful is a ridiculous definition. What I can imagine though is this: Dimash has a very commanding stage presence, an admirable natural authority on stage (in contrast to his humble and somewhat shy appearance in normal life). Maybe this may be misinterpreted by the less mature as boastful.

'Bass Player' is either unaware of Dimash's ability or making false equivalence with great singers with hit songs. Clearly he is unaware how humble Dimash truly is, not just opinion, watch how he respects the band/choir/pianist or any of his interviews about his family and how he was raised. He's the real deal. He's a great performer, and is more than capable of reigning in his techniques to suit the song - have a listen to his latest song 'Okay' for example. So thumbs down for 'bass player's' dumb comment. I watched Freddie Mercury sing live and loved the guy, his range and tone was fantastic, Brian May did write with Freddie by the way, but it's just fact that Dimash's *vocal* ability is just next level, he just needs the songs to match. After all, we all love great *songs* and the artists who made them regardless of their vocal ability. It's the songs and how they made us feel that we remember. It will be interesting to see if Dimash can write a real international hit. I hope so, that's his artistic journey I think.

It's not just his range, it's the vocal ability within the whole range. I'm not sure there has ever been a singer who can ride seamlessly between many vocal techniques in one song. Yes his range can be exploited as composers are queuing up to write for this amazing singer and yes he has been showing off his vocal prowess in competitions across the globe...singing competitions...it's exactly what you're supposed to do. His latest release does not traverse his range or dynamic capabilities but it's still beautiful and shows off his ability to pull it all back to almost a whisper. A lot of people only react or listen to his explosive compositions but you can find many beautiful songs in different languages that are traditional and truly beautiful. Dimash is developing into a musician of the highest quality and is a deeply spiritual and humble young man. Look into his background before making judgements on his character, it will only take a few minutes of your time to educate yourself 🙏

If you were born with a gift and you worked tirelessly all your life (from age 5) to develop it, why is it showing off to use it? This makes no sense to me. Different people excel at different things. If someone is an entertainer and showman, why in the world would they want to use only a portion of their talent in case someone might think they are showing off? very well said. i hope the bass player reads this...exhibiting your skills is not boastful. if youve got it, flaunt it! and Dimash can definitely.flaunt it,, with a lot of soul. plus Dimash is considered the best vocalist in the world, not subjectively, but objectively. what he can do, both in low notes and high notes, nobody else can do. a woman can be good at high soprano notes, and a man can be good at low tenor range. but Dimash can do both, with finesse and amazing control. so him being considered the best vocalist in the world is not opinion-based but based on actual facts of his technical skills. some people doesnt appreciate nor like Dimash, but it doeant take away from the fact that he is indeed the best, whether you like Dimash or not.

His voice so mastered he as a master degree anyway but out of that it maybe not your cup of tea but for me Freddy Murcury was yes one of the greatest voice but Dimash is the greatest period.

Freddy Mercuri was undoubtedly a great serial killer. but honestly there is no comparison with dimash, we are talking about that freddy had a range of 5 octaves Dimash is 7.9 which allows him to sing in all tessituras for both men and women, that is: bass, tenor baritone, contralto, mezzozoprano, and soprano there are artists who have achieved higher overtones, but they do not have the mastery that dimas has, and you will find out for yourself if you continue listening to it, since I can assure you that you have not heard anything this is just the tip of the mountain, we are talking about a man who is a multi-instrumentalist, musician, aregist and composer, Dimash has already surpassed the limit of the human voice, we know that singing evolves over the years but Dimash jumped 200 years into the future . I know that my comment may seem ecxecivo or fanaticism, but if I continue listening to it, you alone will prove me right, to sing a single Dimash song we would occupy between 5 to 7 artists of different tessituras and different musical genres dimash can sing like everyone else but nobody can singing like him his voice has no explanation since it comes out of the piano and sometimes you don't know if his voice is a violin or an electric guitar and what to say that he manages all the mouth modes adding more phonetic difficulty when singing in 13 languages.

Your guest's remarks reveal more about him than about Dimash. Those of us who follow Dimash's journey and his family know that he is remarkable precisely because of his humility. He turned down a place in an opera house because he wanted to experiment with his voice. That's why you see him pushing his abilities to the very edge and trying different combinations. He is not just about conformity or familiarity though he does have those in his songs also. I do agree with your guest that it's difficult once we start ranking or comparing. I don't say that Dimash is the best because that's a ranking term which by necessity brings other people "lower in rank", to second or third place. However, we can all agree that Dimash has amazing abilities and has given much joy to many around the world. To your friend, ask him to think of Dimash's work as an experiment. Dimash did say he intended that, and also wanted his fans to enjoy. Depending on the set of songs that you listen to, the impression differs. If you only listen to his stupendous songs like Stranger, then you miss out. Listen to "Okay" and you won't hear any fireworks, just an awesome club or lounge vibe.

There's no comparison between Dimash and any other singer dead or alive. No one on this planet has ever achieved what he can. Not only an almost 8 octave known range (7,7 from what we've listened to), but also the power and richness on those both very law and very high notes, when others who also reach them, just do it very softly and without power, including women. On the other side, the smothness and feeling on his voice pierces your soul, and keep you in a meditation mode, or in a state of calm and inexplicable happiness, no singer has ever produced before on listeners. NO ONE, DEAD OR ALIVE.

That reaction was really interesting. If I may add something: I experienced Dimash live. I knew his abilities and still I stood there in awe, stunned, jaws dropped, my mind totally blown. He DOES sound just like that LIVE, and under the influence of his breathtaking aura a performance like Stranger or - even more - Ave Maria goes beyond any imagination, beyond anything you may have heard before. Dimash is certainly not some kind of celebrity crush to me. I have sons in their twenties 😉. But for me this young gentleman IS undoubtedly the best singer that ever lived up to now or will live in the next fifty years, at least. I do agree, Freddy Mercury was a genius and I admire him so much that I even visited his former boarding school in Panchgani, India to cope up with the fact that I never visited a Queen concert. I will never get over having missed to see him live. Actually Freddy was the reason why I was so extremely keen on seeing Dimash live. I did not want to make the same mistake again, to wait for a concert until it is too late. And with my deep respect for Freddy, his voice and his art I tell you that Dimash is much more versatile and much more skilled in both, singing and even composing, and I presume that Freddy was equally charismatic, most probably in a completely different way than Dimash. Legends, both of them! But I am convinced that no one really compares to Dimash, not even Freddy Mercury. I would LOVE to watch both of you to react to Ave Maria.

I feel you. I did the same and bought tickets for Dimash's soloconcert in Düsseldorf. Because I taught to myself: "If not now when then?" I was 20 when Freddie became one with the Force. Too young to save money for a concert somewhere far far away. I also missed Billy Idol because of this. But I have been at Dimash's concert now (hopefully not for the last time). I even saw him at the airport, when he arrived the day before. I was so blown away how sweet he was with his Dears, even he and his team were in a hurry. Thankfully I wore a mask, because my mouth was just wide open ...

The reason he is called the best singer in the world is that he's mastering all registers bass, baritones, tenor, alto & soprano. Name other singers who can do that. Additionally, he can sing in 13 languages and other genres not just opera.

you finally understand - in order to be the best vocalist, it is not necessary to sing in English at all! :-)) in every song of Dimash- in whatever language he did not perform it, there is inspiration and soul!!! any living person can understand it - if only he is alive!!!) PS- it's not a struggle between language barriers - it's the truth of life that people should just accept!!!!

It's also unfair to compare Dimash and Freddie Mercury. We all love Freddie, including Dimash. Freddie is Dimash' idol and Dimash NEVER claims to be better than other artists even though he clearly has an unparallelled talent and passion and unparalleled commitment to training and improving his vocals. Also his love for music is unparalleled. 1% talent and 99% hard work. That is what made him the best vocalist of all time and that is just a fact, it shouldn't make anybody feel defensive, we can still appreciate all other amazing artists and their contribution.

DIMASH doesn't concern himself with his range or his fame.. he sings what he believes the the song requires, and he is only concerned if you like his songs, not how many albums he sells. However you should see the level of education he has in music, and witness his shelves of prestigious awards he has won. DIMASH definably belongs in the company of Pavarotti, Freddie and Prince. DIMASH is also very humble and kind... Not boastful at all...

React to "Fly Away" - there`s zero boasting in that one :) Dimash premiered "Stranger" , "Fly Away" and "Ave Maria" in 2021, at New Wave (competition) where he participated as a judge, and guest performer. These 3 songs were the way he stepped back on stage, after ~ 2 years of pandemic restrictions that interrupted his live performances, in a world old and changed, "new ground... new chance to know who I am, if I have the strength to begin again". Dimash himself lost 2 mentors in the summer of 2020, during the pandemic "faces from the past...lives... I`ve lost... I feel them in me still". Dimash doesn`t have to be called 'the best vocalist', he is 'the most loved artist' for many people, especially for those who watched his interviews and his full concerts. I love "where he`s coming from", the wholesomeness, the scope and purpose in and of his art ; many might have range, technique, but Dimash`s art is healthy, non-self-destructive, anti-depression, anti-melancholy, even when it`s emotional, or the topic of the song is painful. Many times (modern) art has a wallowing, depressive quality to it, or a pretentious, rhetorical quality to it. His doesn`t. This is what no other better singer can replace, for me. The fact that I don`t have to worry about his health and sanity, because his life is normal, healthy, sane and clean, is a nice little bonus :)) Speaking of technique and range, he is a very good singer, with a perfect technique that was provided as a backbone, by his Bel Canto training, for everything that he sings. Speaking of boastfulness : as a person, Dimash is a humble guy (upbringing, teachers of excellent professional and human quality, awareness of everybody that contributed to his skills and technique). He is very self-critical, we`ve seen him watch performances of his own, and cringing, thinking of some minute detail that NOBODY noticed or cared about. He also likes to play with his range, with things that he can do (long notes etc.) to entertain his fans, doing it in a fun way - fans love it and they`re proud of him - lots of fun together - nothing wrong with that. When he uses range for a song, he does so tastefully (in my perception), and he does serve a purpose - like in "Autumn Strong" - soprano section = inner pain of the woman that the song is about. People get confused because of "The Singer" competition, where he had to be extra impressive with his range and techniques - for that show, he was told that he had to get people to "jump up with excitement, otherwise you won`t get their vote" - he wanted to advance in that competition to represent his country well, so he did everything it took. Outside that competition, his actual work, is half made of songs in one register, the other half songs with range. And in duets, he is always an expert team player, he never shows off, he even matches his vibrato to his partner. Watch "Ti Amo Cosi", a trio performance by Dimash + Lara Fabian + Aida Garifullina - where he matched his vibrato to Aida, a soprano, and then to Lara, who sings more pop-style. He used the tenor-baritone range in that one. In "Drunken Concubine", duet with a chinese counter-tenor, where Dimash hits a F#1 fry and then a F#7 whistle, and they also battle in soprano range, he was specifically asked by the producers of the show to do spectacular things. (known fact : the chinese audience especially loves his high range and can`t get enough of it :) ) One more thing about Dimash - when someone said to him directly, during a livestream with his fans, "you`re the best singer in the world", he said "I disagree" ; then a friend by his side asked him "why do you disagree ?"; pressed for time, Dimash said to his friend "...you`re too young to understand" ; and returned to the fan in the livestream chat and humbly said "just.. thank you for your kind words". So, relax, nobody has to feel pressured to convince others that Dimash is the best vocalist in the world. We love him immensely, the most out of many artists, for the awesome human and artist that he is. He doesn`t need more than that, and we don`t have to explain love and the myriad of nuances in his voice to anyone. And yes, I also love watching someone that has a great range and awesome technique, use it, just like I love watching a figure skater that can do a quadruple-toe-loop use it beautifully in a skating program. I wouldn`t suspect that skater of boasting if he does that, and I wouldn`t expect that figure skater to do just single-loops. Same with a violinist that can play Paganini`s pieces. I wouldn`t expect him to play 'Mary had a little lamb'. If you want to see a spectacular (and unique) performance of "Stranger", watch the version from Shine! Super Brothers show : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpnFmJtmpq6mmas - the techniques in that one are stunning. And it`s in China, which always inspires him to do stunning things, as his fans there are very responsive, supporting and loving, and the other artists are amazing as well. "War and Peace", "Ómir Óter"('Life is passing'), "Qaragym Ai", "Amanat", "Qairan Elim", "Give me love", "Okay" - no 'boasting' in these :)) Enjoy :) And make reactions for us :) to make up for the fact that we missed your journey of discovering Dimash :))

Thanks for the reaction to Dimash whose technical prowess as a male vocalist has no equal now or throughout recorded history. (C2-D8 by one person not to mention emotive presence perfect execution and humble demeanor while acknowledging the other professionals who assist in the performances). I have every respect for other's opinions as long as they are fully informed opinions. Seems your guest may just need a bit more "information" to finish developing his opinion. Nothing said here precludes anyone from having a favorite song by another artist. THAT speaks to preference and appetite NOT technical prowess. Let us not confuse the two or get hung up on artistic differences and preferences. Keep the reactions coming and allow the great artists (past and present) to enrich all of our lives! We are blessed to be able to partake in the richness of all the greatness that has gone before and continues into the present and future.

That's a kobyz. It's the precursor to the European cello, violin and viola and predates them by a couple thousand years. Two horse hair strings of different thicknesses, no frets and no fingerboard. So all the notes are done on floating harmonics. Made from one piece of wood and usually a goatskin cover over the resonant cavity. It comes from Dimash's area up around Kazakhstan and surrounding areas.

He doesn't like to talk about his vocal abilities even when asked by an interviewer he will avoid as best he can talking about his abilities and his range. Freddie Mercury was one of a kind artist. He was an amazing singer - songwriter, no question about that. But.. As a vocalist, did he ever sing The Queen of the night aria in a stairway just for fun? Dimash did. It's not just the range, or the voice control, or breath control, technical skills, the dynamics in every register there is, every genre he does. It's all that in one man. Plus the ability to touch your soul the way he does. I absolutely think, that there is not and never has been anyone, who can do all that with that quality. Sure, Pavarotti was a better tenor singing opera, but even he did "only" that.

Almost every singers know the emotional of a song but most don’t have the ability to convey it fully and beautifully. Dimash has that ability and he should serve what a song is intended to its full emotional reach. This is especially true for live stage performance which unlike studio recording, requires full powerful performance to fill in the hall and to keep the audience attention in full. He is not boasting, he is doing it exactly right.

Saying using his how range is showing off is moronic. People use the ranges they have. Just because Dimash has a much bigger range than most singers he shouldnt use his full gifts? Ofcourse he should! even if it means making songs and singing quite unlike other singers. Theres nothing wrong with experimenting- using his unique gifts to do songs others couldnt. In fact i'd say thats the BEST use of his talent. Whats the point in him singing just safely within 2-3 octaves in a manner all other singers can, making safe songs for radio play etc? THAT would be a waste. The reason songs and other singers are not like Dimash's is because they COULDNT. Also- dont compare Dimash to others on a compositional level- when you are talking about a performance in a song. We are talking about his SINGING ability to freddies- and its 100% sure better- even tho Freddie was incredible. Dimash HAS composed quite a lot of songs too- and they are very good- but at least so far, that is NOT his forte. Blondie is clearly just a fredie fan unwilling to except someone is better at singing.

Saludos 🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿

Completely agree about Igor and Dimash, magical pairing. Freddie Mercury would have loved Dimash, especially the operatic tone. Dimash is extremely humble and incredibly generous. His breath control, tone and timbre, range thousands of hours of work from earlier than 5 years old. The higher range is either used to express emotion or give an additional instrument sound, like he did in this one. Absolutely epic performance, sounds like a movie soundtrack.

According to Brian May Freddie Mercury had a 4-octave range and in this respect was unable to match Dimashs vocal range of 7 octaves. When you stated the comparison of Queen being N0.1 with Bohemian Rhapsody and Dimash, a relatively new kid on the block. I would just remind you that Dimash has not signed with any record labels, therefore, no promotions via the media he is strictly live concerts and KZbin platforms by choice whereas Queen was signed to the usual suspects of record labels EMI Parlophone Elektra Capitol Hollywood Island Virgin EMI. I am a fan of Queen and have seen them live in concert, as to using the word "boastful" Freddie was OTT but that was his showmanship. I advise you to follow Dimashs videos till the end and judge him by what he says to the audiences (sub-titles) Perhaps it may be an idea if you take the time to do that you will discover an interesting side of singers' characters' reactions to their public and gratitude towards their fellow musicians. Keep On Keeping On. If you really want to hear Dimash out sing Freddie Mercury at his own game so to speak I suggest you check out Dimashs cover version of a Freddie Mercury song "The Show Must Go On" from I Am A Singer 2017. he was only 22 at this time. Note Brian May was very impressed according to press reports. What are you waiting for?

Yeah, that was really silly, the discussion was about being a great vocalist, not composer or lyricist, or who`s song made it into a chart. Apples, oranges, trucks and charts. Dimash won Best Artist of the Year Award, at the Global Golden Chart Awards Ceremony in China, and many other awards, including Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Original Song" for "Ocean Over The Time". Which chart should we judge by ? In Asia and in Eastern Europe he`s famous and crushing it, because people have heard of him, while many industry people in the west barely know of him. Millions of people love his music, from all over the world. Charts can`t quantify that.

Freddy Mercury did a lot of the heavy lifting on Bohemian Rhapsody. It was his vision and he found a way to connect with practically everyone on that song. Dimash has amazing vocal range and expression. He connects emotionally on very improbable songs. I'm not sure his writing is completely there yet, but it is getting there. That strange vibrato is from ethnic music in turkic and middle eastern areas. I think it is used more by female singers. It's kind of like he shakes his vocal chords and rides the plucked vibrato through the phrase. He hit a low of C2 with some vocal fry and a high of F6 in his head/whistle mix or whatever that is.

Dimash hit A1 as well, in chest voice with some fry. (leaving aside his F#1 and B0 growls) And he got a master`s degree in Composition, so you`re right, he will most definitely get there with his writing. "My Beauty", "Unforgettable Day" and "War and Peace" are composed by him, by the time he was 23. And Dimash is the one who comes up with the way he performs a song, techniques used etc. Love the video where Igor was consulting with Dimash, who was sitting next to his piano, while they were figuring out "Your Love" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3S7qJihgc6Drtk ) Dimash also dreams of composing sonatas, etudes. So yes, I think he will get there :)

@@DiaLinwen Oh yes, beauuutiful song of his own creation :) "Papa - Mama" as well :) But hey, the guest reactor was comparing the charts position of an artist with a label behind him, with the charts position of a young artist with no label behind him, so why even bother giving examples... I don`t know if people travelling to New York from 54 countries and 41 US states to attend the concert of a (25 yo) young artist famous in the other half of the world is taken into account by any charts. Oh well.. what can you do ? 😁 Did you hear that billboards apparently changed their algorithms to make radio presence (in this day and age!!) an even bigger portion of the ranking calculation, after phenomenons like BTS etc started to take them by storm ? It seems that artists with very little radio presence due to language, like Dimash, BTS and many others, will have to wait some more before they get "validation" by impressing people with their charts positions 😂 🤣
