Adductors were sore for 1 day. Hams were sore for 2 days. Quads were sore for 5 days. All this with just a 2 exercise leg workout that took just around 1 hour. No weird nonsense, no stupid and annoying short rest periods: just straight quality reps with a reasonable number of sets. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!

They struggle with it cause it's a made up problem, which is why no one has a solution for it. "Feeling" a muscle is not a precursor for growth at all. You're not gonna "feel" your traps doing heavy rows or deadlifts but they sure as hell are gonna grow.

Try using body weight box squats one of these times, pick a box you can barely sit on when you go ATG: when you go to fail on these you literally just sit there on the box - you can't go anywhere, you're just stuck like an insect on a glue trap... And as you sit there, the burn keeps getting worst until you straighten your legs out. 😅

I tend to skip training videos these days because years ago it got boring to watch people lift, but I decided to give this one a go. And, man, I really wanna train with Mike now. Hey man love to hear it, no need for ego lifting. You definitely want to get a deep stretch this is 100% not full rom although much better than 90% of people out there! All you need to take it to the next level is to watch mike isratel’s (from renaissance periodization) leg day workout with jujimufu. That right there is perfect form. Of course those guys are on gear so the weights they are doing are much higher and they take less time to recover, but their form is next to perfection.

Mike: it's not necessary to train to failure to grow. Mike: you don't need to annihilate muscles to grow. Also Mike: let's see if you can even *survive* my training.

This has to just be pinned to the top of every Mike video on KZbin....haha the entire fitness industry is a living contradiction. Do it all, touch the full spectrum and you'll be OK.

He's mentioned this before but he's not training like this all the time. I don't think it's a contradiction if he programming the annihilation workouts intelligently(end of a meso, etc..).
