Thanks for the assist on this one! Just did my friends 09 Civic. You weren't kidding about the tight clearances in there when disconnecting those hydraulic lines. What a pain! Plus, some previous "mechanic" rounded of the freaking bolts trying to overtighten the connectors and stop the leak. Greetings from Downtown Vegas!

Here's my favorite thing that makes Angel's videos better than the others. He actually shows each failure and triumph, while other videos just say "remove this bolt", and the bolt magically disappears. He shows you HOW he removes the bolts. Plus, Angel's camera views are amazingly clear and good. Don't know how he does it, but I'm glad he does. I have a 2010 Civic, and it's nearly impossible to see anything in the serpentine belt area!

My son has an '08 Civic with a bad power steering pump and hoses. The dealer quoted us $2400 to replace everything, but they quoted us for 3 separate hoses! I can only think of 2 hoses. This car has 2. Does anyone know if there is a power steering unit with three hoses for a 2008 Civic (1.8L)?

@deepsquat60011 ай бұрын
Yeah but the question is did you have to remove the pump to get to the fitting because everything looks pretty dang cramped
@FixItAngel11 ай бұрын
thank you for the comment. my neighbor been using it couple weeks without any fluid in the reservoir. i suggested to just replace pump since no lubrication in the pump. I just don't want to find out there is still a noise after replacing the o-ring.
@matthewotis35945 ай бұрын
Take pump off then remove hoses. Just dont pull on like crazy. But thanks for sharing.
@mkrp43 ай бұрын
With pump loose it will be hard to exert torque on the hose fasteners. The return hose, however can be removed by squeezing and moving the clamp, leaving plastic fitting on the pump
