@@CH-hm8ud I appreciate your comment, and I don’t mean to be confrontational, but you and your husband seem to be well balanced, so may I suggest you look deeper into a vegan lifestyle? For example, why are people vegan? What are the benefits for them and the planet, but above all, for the animals who don’t need to be exploited and die an early horrific death, so unnecessarily. We don’t need to eat them. I have been a vegan and a researcher for over a decade, and I don’t like people to be coerced in any way shape or form, but more appropriately do their homework and try to navigate the sea of misinformation along the way. ❤

Balance is key. The industry that grows fruits and vegetables for the common folk requires the mass use of pesticides to kill millions of birds and other animals to prevent them from destroying crops. Harvesting crops, maims and kills animals caught in the path of machines, not to mention destroys their natural habitats. Animals will unfortunatley die one way or another, but humanely would be prefered. Plants are chosen over animals because people tend to be speciesist, they have less empathy toward plants even though some have evolved with protective mechanisms to ensure their survival, but we eat them anyway, since we have a communication barrier with them. Balance is key and and understanding that most humans have evloved to be omnivores and there is no shame in that. We have also evolved to chose to be herbivores as well, just know it's not free of guilt. @@sciencelad8286

@ec98338 ай бұрын
It’s not “being an adult”…when you’ve been giving your body these foods, you’ve been increasing the gut bacteria that also rely on these foods…your gut bacteria is directly linked to your brain and it WILL 100% send messages to your brain to increase those foods when you’ve cut them out. It’s incredibly uncomfortable, incredibly difficult for many, if not most ppl to simply “be an adult” and override a very intricate, powerful system that’s got that kind of control over all your senses. Age + Intelligence does not equal a super power that overrides anything, making anything easier other than the fact that you understand something. The only thing that should increase is your hunger for more knowledge so…don’t stop there. The gut affects your mood, your clarity, your ability to focus, your retention ability…all manner of things. I mean…why do you think we have such a difficult time at eating healthfully, regardless of being loaded with information? Do you think ppl simply forgot that they’re adult humans? Just…don’t be so hard on yourself or others…to which you do both by touting such ideas in your comments. Shame doesn’t override your gut bacteria. It doesn’t convince it of anything other than maybe increasing stress & increasing the desire for foods that summon feel good chemicals in order to calm that stressful feeling. Instead…research what can physically and directly help you through the switch like…eating more high quality fats that satiate faster (letting the brain know you’re full) for longer periods of time which, delay sensations of hunger. Get up and exercise when you’re feeling a craving…drink more water…eat foods that feed the good bacteria in your gut. These will help…archaic, hollow ideas built purely of shame (stress & mental health decline) will challenge you further…and further…and further as you create a habit (even a physical one in the brain) to automatically shame yourself = more hills to climb. Mental health is incredibly important to be working on, along with all this food stuffs. 100%. So the best.

For those interested in knowing, Longan is pronounced Long + Ahn or Long + Ann. It is Cantonese as the fruit grows mainly in southern china. It’s actually: long + ngan but shortened to longan in English. It should not be pronounced Logan. Long (dragon) Ngan (eye). Lychee can be pronounced Lie + chee (Cantonese) or Lee + Chee (mandarin) depending on which version. Again, I prefer Lie+chee because this fruit originates from southern china (mainly canton and Fujian). Btw, I’m Cantonese by descent.

Husband went on the Dr. John McDougall diet as he could hardly walk and had high cholesterol. 220-140 cholesterol without meds and his over all health improved dramatically!! Quickly!

Here in Turkiye there’s so much variety of fruits& vegetables. Also excellent sea food🫶🏻 Our ancestors were farmers& the originals of so many fruits have seeds inside. Thanks God it’s still conserved in the eastern part of the world. Thanks Dr. for reminding the originals.🧡

Hi Doc! ❤️ your content. Very informative. Keep up the great work. Questions??? I was juicing years ago and I stopped because I heard u don’t get all the nutrients from fruits & veggies when u juice. What’s ur take on that? Do I need 2 get a certain style of juicer & if so, what would u recommend? I want 2 start back up again. Is it ok 2 put grapes with seeds in a juicer & consume it? I heard the seeds of 🍎 r poisonous. So do u get the same thing with grape seeds & is grape seed oil, the same or better oil then olive oil for cooking or 4 making dressing 4 my salads? Help! Thank u & God bless u & ur family 🙏🏻❤

Not a doctor, but I have heard from several that juicing is less nutritious than just blending the fruit whole in a smoothie. Grapes and berries with seeds are great, apple seeds definitely not! I quarter my apples to get the core out before I blend them. Also grapeseed oil is highly processed and not the best choice of unless you use it cold. Use olive oil or avocado oil instead for cooking. Avoid seed oils and heat. Hope this helps.

This is an incredibly informed, educational video! Thank you!! Suggestion: search for a better audio system. I have to turn up the volume to hear the ends of your sentences because there is a considerable drop in pitch and volume. Even at regular volume, the audio on your videos distorts a little. That distortion of course increases noticeably at a higher volume. I don’t have this problem with other influencers whose pitch also drops at the end of sentences - their video audio doesn’t distort when volume increases. I have to really concentrate on your voice because your videos are jam-packed with important information that I don’t want to miss. It’s hard to change the pitch habits of one’s speech, so to be understood, crisp, clear audio becomes all the more important for your videos.

@HealthyImmuneDoc Thank you, Dr.Liu 🙂 I like all the fruits you mention. This is not bad at all. It points to delectable yummy cuisine. 'Healthy food is unpleasant to eat' is such an outright lie ! I eat healthy simply because I love these tasty fruits/foods you have covered. In some cases, a good recipe is the right resource to make a vegetable produce into a tasty dish. On the whole Asian continent with all its multitude of countries & cultures, their different cuisines/culinary prowess make lip-smacking food very very well.
