Wonderful video, thanks so much for taking the time to do it. But now I need to move into a larger home so I will have a space for that paper cutter!

I'm watching this a couple of years later, in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa, where we're under a Heavy Rain Warning (again!), and a Thunderstorm Watch from Te Ratonga Tirorangi/Met Service. I'm glad you mentioned you were having thunder, as I might've thought it was ours! Loving the videos; they fascinate me, and your narration is perfect ❤🇳🇿

Loved this series! Perhaps consider the grail diary from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a future project?

Hi there, how did you determine the distance between the two bookcases and the spine of the Book? Is there a standard width or does this differ with the thickness of the book? I‘m looking foreward for your reply. The videos are great btw. Thanks a lot. Ruedi

I wonder how well unprimed canvas would work in place of the woven strip. I say it that way to point out they are both woven. 🙂
@FourKeysBookArts2 жыл бұрын
The canvas could be a bit thick and bulky, but in principle they would serve the same purpose.

Hello. I was wondering if Mull is the same thing as Super? I can’t seem to figure out if it is? It looks similarities but I’m not really sure. And I don’t want to buy the wrong item. I want something that will allow the spine to remain flexible so that my journals can open up and lay as flat as possible. I believe Super does that so maybe it’s the same? I was hoping you would be able to shed some light on the subject for me. It would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Mull, super, and scrim are all the same thing, just a loosely-woven cloth (like cheesecloth) that is stiffened with starch. Thanks for watching!

So I've heard people say that the acids in pva glue yellow things over time due to acid. Is this something you worry about or do you not plan for your books to last that long?
@FourKeysBookArts2 жыл бұрын
I use archival acid-free pva.

@@FourKeysBookArts sorry to bother you but do you do commissions I've been looking for the perfect notebook for years. I realy like to keep the things I design I find it especially useful doing engineering things.

You mention that the thickness of the text block with covers is 22cm. That would be very big. I'm pretty sure you ment 22mm. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@FourKeysBookArts2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would be a massive book!😂 22mm is correct.

It certainly is.

That is a thick book at 22 centimetres I think that is an error and you meant 22 millimetres thick?
