She apologized because she doesn't want to end up being destroyed on social media like Blake Lively and because she has a new movie coming out. At least she explained her reasoning to the interviewer, she was going through a bad time and also maybe tired of being questioned over and over again about the movie.

@@Elizalustof I agree with Eliza. The actors are not communicating only with the interviewer, they are communicating with their audience, through them. If they want to be bitchy, they have to own it up and be okay with what that might cause to their career. Or genuinely apologise like Anne did, because the most of us might say stupid things sometimes in our lives and regret it. But learned from experience, being provocative is more damaging than being nice. Anne might know it. Blake Lively might have left so many people uncomfortable that very few might have had the courage to step up and call her out. Sharing these are good for us all to reflect and discuss our own behaviours I believe and hopefully be kinder to each other.

@@renzrenz9274 I was speaking generally. But about this interviewer specifically, she made a comment about Blake's "bump" so Blake gave it back to her. Asking stupid questions about the clothes when there's been a huge push back about the gendered questions actresses in particular get asked, isn't smart. I would say Anne's first crush question could fall under that too. But all in all celebrities are allowed to have off days. As an interviewer you should be able to read the room and know who you are talking to. You know Blake is a feminist type that wouldn't appreciate comments about her body and clothing. You could see something was bothering Anne just from her body language. If you can see they aren't feeling your gimmicky bs take it seriously and ask meaningful questions that are actually connected to acting or the story they are telling or something that isn't about prying into their personal lives / making comments about them as people.

I don’t fault Anne Hathaway too much here. A journalist asking actors to sing their responses is a bit too far. She’s a journalist, not a director. @@heavenlyvilla8681 lmao, it's courtesy to congratulate someone on their pregnancy. if blake felt that it was rude or the interviewer was being too familiar, her reaction is still nasty. yeah, her "little bump" is barely visible, but if she took the interviewer's remark as a reference to her figure instead of her pregnancy, it seems like she had some issues within herself that she has to work out. i would argue that someone who isn't mean would've reacted like "oh gosh, am I showing that much?" i don't wanna invalidate any human feelings that blake has, obviously she was offended or hurt in some way by the "little bump" remark but that doesn't change the fact that she didn't handle the situation with grace.

My problem with this situation….this person used a click bait title to air an OLD interview with Blake Lively and has gottten alot of followers attention fromit so she repeated the same thing with Anne Hathaway. With Blake Lively, yes she was rude in the interview, but she did not start the problem. She went into an interview to promote whatever show/movie and the first thing this interviewer does is comment on BLAKE’S stomach as she was pregnant. so Blake turned the tables and commented on the interviewers stomach. It went downhill from there.

It’s sad how people worship ACTORS, literally ACTORS, when we have absolutely no clue what they are really like or how they treat people with less power than them in real life. People like to believe that they do know how these actors really are because of watching many of their movies. They forget however that they literally recite lines written by people far more intelligent than them probably and are playing ROLES! Yes, I do like to believe and hope that some actors truly are nice people IRL too. But apparently some are fking awful and treat ppl who are in less powerful positions than them like shit and that is really shitty and says a lot about their character and how they were raised, or rather not raised. Everyone deserves equal respect regardless of position. Most people are just trying to do their job and get through life. Even if the actors are tired or jet lagged they have no right to be rude for absolutely no reason to strangers just trying to do their job. Unless the interviewer is rude I get it. But Kjersti is literally one of the nicest and most decent interviewers I have ever seen. So she has every right to hold them accountable.

for real? a lot of actors behave like this or even worse but journaists never bring it up because they can be blacklisted or fired. Flaa mentioned that in her video. Being an excellent actor doesnt give you permission to behave like an as$hole.

Ann Hathaway was beyond rude in that interview, but that's nothing new. We will see more of these "apologies " coming soon because these people don't want to be outed as the rude, condescending people they really are.
