Take your time with the cheese shredder! Make sure it is properly secured before you start using it, and it will work like a dream. The harder the cheese, the more it will stick together as you are shredding it, so stop every little bit and make sure to pull the cheese out. The softer cheese comes out just fine on its own. I love my cheese grater!

Thanks for mentioning the Red Cross, I was a volunteer for 30 yrs doing disaster services. I have been to so many hurricanes and other things the the weather brings on. It is the best disaster services I have seen.

As a public health nurse who has been deployed to shelters during disaster areas, the red cross is always in charge of setting these up and, let’s just say that as far as donations go, it does not go directly to the people you want it to. Whatever they were in the past, they are not now. During our mudslides, there were multiple people who had to report literal abuse by Red Cross workers to the victims of the mudslide. They’re overhead and the amount that the folks at the top get paid is crazy. They sure dont act like a “non profit,” from everything i have seen. I always recommend small non profits and local churches who will get your donations directly to those in need.

With your Fiddle Fig Leaf plant. Take a knife and make a small slice next to the nodes (bumps where the old leaves that fell off were) and give it a water. You will be shocked to see how you will get more leaves! Mine was about a foot long stick last year. It's now bushy and over 4 feet tall. You are such an inspiration to me! I wish I had a eighth of your energy!

My sister lives in Zephyrhills Florida and a huge 🌳 that was really tall, broke over halfway, and fell on her home, and her van ended up crushing the vans roof and all the windows but the driver's side. And sent a branch that was 10, feet long, and sent it 9 feet into the ground where her Septic tank is now that has to get fixed to but she's thankful no one got hurt

My son just turned 11 last week - feeling like a GrandMa over here - and he made a list of all of his birthdays.... That time we went to Disney and that time we went to a big concert and that time we travelled to Portugal (We're French, it's a 2 hrs flight🤣)... All that to say, the kids remember! Each birthday is an occasion to be the "Star" (to us it's like When are they not) of the Family for a day and shine... mostly amongst their envious Siblings... Even if it's not a violent envy, the envy is what makes it precious. So, yes, do the Birthday, even if he's only 2!

Tip from a lazy lady...get a power washer for cleaning the outside and patio etc. Game changer. Makes life so much easier, I still give the windows a wash so they sparkle but so much less work, and it gets all that stuff off! 😊

Hi, Kim. On your cheese shredder, you have to make sure that the bottom of the shredder is crumb free and the counter is clean as well so that it can get a proper suction. Plus, please use the pusher instead of your fingers, you’re making me nervous. As you turn the handle, check the cheese making sure it’s coming out and you won’t have the sticking problem.

I put a trash bag where I put stuff to donate and keeps me from having to go over stuff I have in my closet. Just when I go to get stuff I make sure if I don't want it it goes in that bag. I have 3 sections so it helps to get out my kids clothes out when they out grow it

You taught me about Dr Bronners Castille Soap being the best stain remover for blowout stains, and it actually works amazing on blood stains, too! My toddler busted his lip and bled on his favorite shirt and I used Dr Bronners (undiluted) on the stain and it completely got rid of it.

You can also try Bronner’s Sal Suds for laundry/cleaning ONLY. Castille can work for cleaning purposes AND is safe for the body as well- hands, showering, even the face. I’ve found SAL SUDS is even stronger for stains, even yellowing-w/other ingredients, than Castille.

Kim, FYI: I use white revive by oxiclean and white out for my white towels. But make sure you only use the white out on whites that have NO COLOR on them because it will take the color out of the towel or garment.

Wash the bottom of your cheese grater it will stick again and after about 4 rounds pull cheese out and it never gets clumps.

Kim for your grater you might try damping the counter a little. It's essentially a suction cup on the bottom so sometimes a couple drops of water helps. I have the same problem with mine too.

I have that same cheese grater you have to not press hard on the cheese otherwise it gets caught up in there and it’s a pain in the butt to get out and as far as the suction goes, you just have to make sure you turn that enough for it suction itself to the counter. It’s really easy when youget a hang of it although I still get it caught up because I get impatient and I want to do it quickly grade the cheese that is.
