Hey great video as normal from you well made your longer videos are for me the best a video on the spray booth looking at the extraction and filter would be good to see sorry to hear about some twat trying to rip off your logo im from the UK and when I started out paint spraying many years ago in a workshop with no paint booth I had to spray cellulose it taught you that if you didn't get the paint on just right you had no shine the bonus was almost as soon as you had finished spraying you could cut back and polish the paint without any need for a heated spray booth or need to bake the paint. When 2k first came out I was amazed at how much better the paint covered compared to cellulose the only thing here that is similar to cellulose is cheap spray paint out of a rattle can as for water based I was lucky to leave painting and change career just before water based came in so didn't get forced to use it much but from my own personal experience with it I would chose 2k over it any day but it may be better now than it was I hope so anyway keep up the good work your videos make me want to get back into spraying again do you send your t shirts to the UK and and approx price thanks.

Awesome and just plain fun to watch that beautiful fan do what it was meant to do. So two questions though...what micron size is on the filter papers you use and is it different for different paints? AND I notice you always have the cap at the top of the cup lid off, why? and how come you never seem to spill any paint out of there, or are you just super careful? Keep up the great work!
@TheGunmanChannel9 жыл бұрын
TresMamboMusicSchool pretty sure they are 150 micron strainers and use for everything. The cap doesn't need to be closed, if I ever get a drip its because there is some paint between the thread of the pot and lid. Its there to restrict flow, that cap has a smaller hole than the lid so I prefer it open allowing me to smash on a killer coat :-) thanks again for watching mate.

Hey gunman, I am currently doing a respray of my own. I have the whole car in High fill (it turned out pretty crap!) some of it went dry, it was a warm day probably 36C+ in my booth (shed lol). Anyway, It should all block out fine i hope, I was planning on blocking the whole car with P600 then spraying my Base/Clear. Should I start with a courser grade? Spending a little more on sandpaper to assure no sanding scratch's would put my mind at ease. Just wondering what you would do.

Where is the video that you talked about the guys semi downdraft spray booth with floor grates eliminating over spray from the hard ground?
@anthonypalumbo3729 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Nice work. So first u done the body repairs n then primed the panel. Then u went over the car with 240g n picked up all the pin holes with filler. Once u picked up the pin holes did u then prime over the filler or did u lay the colour straight over?
@TheGunmanChannel9 жыл бұрын
Anthony Palumbo I just painted straight over it but not all fillers can be overpainted, I use the Wurth extra fine polyester filler and its the best on the market I think anyway, I also finished with 500 after the 240 and 400 for this job but don't forget every job is different so must be prepared to suit.

Hi Gunman Just a quickie, How long do you suggest leaving primer before blocking or d.a.ing, in my case I don't have any heat or bake etc. in the process of sorting out some infra red lamps. But without heat how long do you leave it ? Cheers nice informative vids.

i bought a used audi a6 front bumper cover and bonnet. i thought,based on the pictures, that they were the same color ad my car. well, it turned out there was a fairly noticeable darker tint to the new panels' silver color. the paint on the panels is in absolutely amazing shape. not a scratch, shiny, perfect factory paint. i am not sure what preparation work needs to go on before they can be sprayed with the actual color of my car. is scotch-brighting them enough and if yes, how should I go about it? thanks.

I've actually seen most of your videos, but I don't understand some of the things you show. So for a painted panel that is getting a new color, should I sand it with 600grit sandpaper and then fill, block sand again with 800grit and apply base and clear coats? Is that the procedure?

@TheGunmanChannel9 жыл бұрын
thequattro20v Australia is a massive country and we have alpine ranges deserts and everything in between, but hail storms form very high up in the sky where its a lot colder than the earths surface so doesn't necessarily even need to be a very cold day to have a hail storm. and like everything in Australia when it happens it happens big :-)
