This really hit home for me today! I came across a pin on Pinterest last night. Proverbs 29:11 and it spoke directly to my heart "a fool gives full vent to his spirit but a wise man quietly holds back' I was told 3 times in 1 day by 3 different people 'i talk too much and I share too much'. One friend said she has to text me just to get a word in. That really hurt my heart. Then God brought me to that scripture. Then today to your video. I need to guard my tongue as well as my heart and discern when to speak and when to keep it between God and myself. It stings but I am thankful God brought it to my attention ❤

I'm sorry a friend spoke unkind words to you, Marianne. But I am thankful that God's Word brings us peace and comfort. We can always turn to the Lord with our heartaches. Sending hugs.♥️

Your restaurant chaos story reminded me of an incident that happened a few weeks ago when my younger daughter and I met up at a Restaurant to have lunch together. There were several people standing around the little podium where the hostess takes your name to be seated. It was very unclear what the “pecking order” was because there was no line. So I stepped forward to speak to the hostess. Immediately another lady stepped towards me and said sort of coldly “we’re next in line”. Instantly I could tell that hackles were being raised, so I put a big smile on my face and said “Thank you so much for letting me know! It’s very hard to tell who is next.” She seemed shocked that I wasn’t mad, so I guess I killed her with kindness….😄😄 I knew that God needed me to be kind and loving, so it truly worked in that moment. ❤-Brenda

Thank you for this topic today Sherry...you are so right about people being edgy and easily angered. I have been trying to control my mouth , emotions and attutide for years regarding a family member who sets me off big time. Praying I get a new mindset and can be the woman of God with a gentle and kind spirit that the Lord desires for me to be. Im the one who needs to change. I do better at times but have a long way to go. Trying to live from a platform of understanding and grace and move forward in power of Holy Spirit. 😊

Thank you so much for this good lesson on relying on God for needed discernment in these perilous times! Your sweet and gentle delivery is so appreciated, and the LORD Jesus truly does radiate through you! The Holy Spirit in you sometimes 'clashes' with the evil spirits in people, as a spiritual battle takes place, but sometimes it is just tired, scared, selfish human beings that 'jump to conclusions' before all the facts are revealed. God BLESS you and your husband and put a hedge of protection around you, as you serve the LORD God in all your ways.

People can get very nasty when they are hungry, (including myself). But a good few years ago now my husband, me, my brother in law and his wife went to a very popular place in England by a canal. It was packed. The waitress lead us to a table and another waitress showed another bunch of people who managed to sit down before us. I saw a cross around her neck and said it's ok we will wait. My brother in law was angry with me, he said I was too nice. It wasn't very long before we got our table. I was a youngish Christian and said to my husband, I saw the cross around her neck. Just found you today on YT.

I am so surprised at hateful comments by so many people on some various sites, even cooking sites, being very mean to the cook and how she's cooking and if she's touching her hair before touching the food she's cooking, if her glasses look too big, if they think she's so thin she on Ozempic, etc...very mean when they are watching a free KZbin cooking show that they are not paying for...just like they are trying to be mean, while no one sees them and who they are. Just outrageous!

🌿🌻 Thank you for sharing.Yes, I noticed that it's getting spiritually darker around us - may we be able to shine God's love at all times 🙏 These verses came to mind - sacrifice of lips & a gentle answer quenches 🌿Hebrews 13:15-16 (NKJV) Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 🌿Prov. 15:1 ESV) A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

I feel God's people are weary. Not without hope but just weary because of the noise of this world. We must take time to be still and spend time with the Father. We definitely need discernment. We need to see things the way He wants us to see them. We need to be the people He needs us to be to love and encorage others.

I tried to look up the ISBN in two search engines and can't find it, Sheree. I bought it this spring at Ollie's. Do you have one of those stores where you are? It was originally $19.99 but I paid $2.99 for it brand new! I already had the "Biscuits, Butter, and Blessings," book. But i didn't have, "Sweet Tea For The Soul." It was worth the price to get the book I didn't have. I bought three of them and gave one to a friend and one to my mom. I wish I still had an extra one and I would mail it to you. You really can't beat $2.99 for two books. The ISBN is 978-1684086863 I hope you can find it, friend!♥
