Those platforms are only held together with screws. Mine had a ton of gummy teak oil buggers in between them so I took the whole thing apart to clean and sand each board. I oiled them before reassembling. I was worried about not being able to get the screws in the same holes they came out of but that wasn't a problem at all.

Applications work much better with a paintbrush than a rag. It wastes less product also because it's not all soaked into the rag.

Yes. I typically stain with a paint brush too. Last year I refinished the teak with a paint brush. I agree with you. Preferred the paint brush. Gets in the wood grain better too.

Foam paint brushes to apply teak oil .Really shouldn't have to sandpaper kinda takes finish away.. starbrite kit should do it unless its really bad.
