Finally got her started at 8:15 pm. I had changed the dead coil and watched the video again. Cleaned the spark plugs, which I bypassed at the first attempt to start her. I had spark under the cap but noticed the fresh gas from my gas can was not reaching the carb. The new in line gas filter that I attached between the fuel pump and carb was whitish and looked sandy. I put fresh gas directly to the carb and she started and ran smoothly for a few seconds. Smiling ear to ear and my girlfriend caught it on a short video. Already pulled the brake master cylinder and clutch cylinder. Going to run new lines and replaced those fore mentioned items. I'm ordering a new fuel filter. Thanks for the video it helped me.

But at the very end you started to testify about finding Jesus and I stoped what I was doing and started to pay very close attention even rewinding and watching it more than once. You see I am brand new in finding my salvation and I am still struggling and your message touched my soul. You made this video a year and half ago never knowing how much I needed to hear it. Great video. My Dad bought a 61 Scout in 1976. I drove it more than he did and did a lot of damage to it but I was determined to keep it running. I think I touched just about every part of that Scout the years we owned it. Carburetor, fuel tank and gauge unit, brakes, differentials, drive shafts, transfer case, transmission, electrical, seat, body, etc. I had a lot of good memories driving it and learned a lot working on it. One thing I never understood was why IH used so many SAE(fine thread) bolts and nuts. I broke many trying to loosen them.
