I know that this sounds dumb, but it’s weird to think that a whole show happened before Punk’s promo. Like, I remember the promo almost word for word, but I had completely forgotten that there was a wheel theme in the episode and that R-Truth was in the main event

Because I was so young at a time of the debut, that I only remember the debut, but then the rapping was normal to me after that.

The scariest thing about the Pipebomb is that everything Punk said FUCKING 10 YEARS AGO still holds true. I believe all pro wrestling fans remember this moment like it happened yesterday because it was literally the one thing we've always wanted to hear from someone from inside the company, and when it actually happened it was extremely cathartic.

For a brief moment, both the pipebomb and MitB 2011 made me a WWE fan again. The pipebomb said everything and more that the fans had felt, and still feel today. And, of course, Punk vs Cena was just amazing especially with that Chicago crowd and the finish.

Could you please do a Retro Ups and Downs from January 23, 2006 please? I don't think anything special on it happened, but it was the very last RAW (or anything) that I would watch together with my Mom EVER because a few days later I would go back to Colorado from Oregon to be with my new husband, as ordered to do by my Mom, and then a few days later on February 2, 2006 my Dad called me to tell me that my had died a few hours before. She was the HUGEST wrestling fan ever! I miss her more and more everyday. Thank you.

I was in the crowd that night. You can see me, my sister, and my brother during the opening pan of the crowd. My sister is holding up a sign that says "Sin City Saints", written in blue. There was a group of drinks a section over that kept yelling "TNA". And the crowd noise is obviously muted at the end of the Pipebomb, because we were chanting "Let Him Speak"...a lot. And very loudly.

13:39 He didn't do the splash then, it was the Big Dive which is a billion times better of a finisher for Mysterio because the splash is already owned by a bunch of other WWE legends. He always used the Big Dive as his finisher for years before he returned in 2018.

this show single handily ruined wrestling. ever since this pipe bomb internet nerds became unbearable. a recent example of how unbearable internet fans are: “wwe is hoarding talent”...wwe releases...”wwe is terrible those people have bills to pay”. another example: “wwe is misusing (blank)”...wwe pushes (blank)... “(blank) is overrated push this other person” a cycle that 🔁 all the time
