I appreciate you guys and your take on keto. I have been on keto for 11 months now and I am close to my goal weight. I would not have succeeded if I have been too strict with myself. I feel better on my keto journey. We are all different and the same cookie cutter life style will not work for everyone. I am with you guys; technically keto. I totally agree with the exercise take - I started Keto at at 61 yo and dropped 80 lbs without actual exercise. Fortunately I am now able to be a lot more active than I ever would have been able to be when I first started. I have also discovered that excessive carbs definitely add to the pain and stiffness of the arthritis as well.

The beauty of a low carb lifestyle is that you DON’T have to count macros, test your blood sugar, test for ketosis, obsess about everything that foes in your mouth, be on a restricted diet. IT WORKS and it’s that simple.

What most people fail to realize is that all the studies that label things as bad are done on people eating the SAD or higher in carbs. I used to have issues with MSG with in minutes. Now after 6 years of keto I use MSG in recipes all the time with out any reaction.

Bravo ladies! I’m not keto just low carb (40 and under) I struggled with my weight for years and only lost weight when I started the fast 800 diet, I can guarantee that if you follow that diet you will loose weight. During the period of being on that diet I realised I was eating too many carbs through vegetables! I have allergies so bread, pasta, rice, potatoes etc so they were really not on my radar anyway . Being aware of this made me drop the amount of veg and what veg I was eating and I lost 2 stone. Whilst on this journey my carbs were always way lower than the plan I was flowing allowed and I was almost following a keto diet. Now I have evolved, I use basic keto principles but allow my carbs to be 40 maximum and if I’m having a bad day when I want some beans or a piece of vegan chocolate then I do. I’m straight back on my eating plan the next meal. .. my worst time is when I really want pizza, I’m in love with the Chicago town vegan bbq jackfruit one. I’ll allow myself to have one every now and again, I add extra cheese (sheeps as I’m allergic to cow! ) and meat and I thoroughly enjoy it, it’s a treat! I know if I have it more often I’ll feel bloated and ill and I’ll gain weight…. What I’m trying to say is be good to yourself, eat well but follow the guidelines, if you fall off it’s no big deal just make your next meal keto! Don’t stress too much about it and drive yourself nuts as the girls are saying, it’s not necessary! .. thanks girls for the awesome video, Sorry for the essay! 😂😂😂

Hi Ladies. As a type2 diabetic I can tell you that testing sucks! I can also tell you and others that through changing my way of eating to ketovore I have lost 60 lbs so far and am no longer insulin dependent! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the terminology, I no longer need to inject insulin. I still take oral medication and I am still on my journey to better health. But I want to tell everyone out there that you can reverse type2 diabetes. You two are giving excellent advice. Being too rigid is how some develop eating disorders and an unhealthy relationship with food. Thank you both for your honest & healthy approach to keto. I think you are helping many people to make better choices.

I love the way you approach all these issues. You'll never please everyone. Your videos and recipes have allowed me to seamlessly transition back into keto after a long pause from having a baby, and now my husband has joined me too. You don't need to exercise to lose weight, period. Exercise is great for increased flexibility, muscle mass (which does help with metabolism and weight maintenance), and mood regulation, as well as overall stamina, but it's definitely not needed for weight loss. I have insulin resistance and have developed histamine intolerance, too, so there are now many foods that I have to avoid (the consequences of ingesting them are far too awful). But that's clearly specific to people with these health conditions.

I took sugar out of my equation several years ago. The occasional carb happens. But I think you guys hit on it exactly. The dietary police want us scared, upset and available to their latest propaganda. The average dieter can fall into a temporary OCD in nothing flat and that makes those companies more money. When we are scared or upset a natural hormone called cortisol is triggered which prevents us from relaxing and losing weight. Insidious isn't it? I'd love to see a video "Keto is a lifestyle; not a prison sentence." Thank you both for keeping it real, relaxed and non-judgmental. I took off and have kept off 35# for five years.

So true about the staying in ketosis bit. I've snowballed from an accidental cheatday (or sometimes even a regular "fuck it, I'm having that" day) into a cheat-half year. And during that time I overcompensate because "you're starting keto again soon anyway, so live a little", which actually means "double-portions of almost everything". I gain so much weight in that time it's absolutely obscene.

MSG is a CRAVING trigger for me! Keto since 2019 and it CURED my food addictions and cravings. The freedom is amazing! But I didn't read the label on a new snack of chicken skin chips. Why would it be anything except chicken skin, salt, oil? especially when buying at a health food store? but after the 3rd bag i finally put the clues together that those days and the day following I experienced cravings!!! it was frightening! I was shocked to find MSG on the ingredients list! Stopped buying them, never had a return of the cravings! So pay attention to your body talking to you!!!

But I must say that since Ketoville, I can eat flavored pork rinds, a few, and be fine. When I polish off the bag in a crazy moment, yea, migraine. Most certain now that it was a combination of bad things in my previous eating habits. Hoping this sensitivity eventually goes away. NEVER canceling!! 💜💜 I have a request. Can you make chips with a nondairy cottage cheese for us? Some are afraid to try regular because of lactose intolerance... they are missing OUT!!! 😖

Is non dairy cottage cheese a thing? You should try making them. I made them on Monday and they are so yummy. Perhaps only make a small amount and see if it affects you. There was a time I could only eat eggs completely cooked and then over time my body healed and I could eat runny yolks.

What people don't consider is that everyone is unique. I have a very fussy tummy, and I do have to avoid too much MSG and gluten. In fact, it looks like I likely have Celiacs Disease. So it makes sense for me to avoid it. Other people can eat it just fine. So why should they give it up if it doesn't bother them in any way? They should give it up, because it bothers me? I'd never say that. People get on their soapbox. Live and let live. Do what works for you. Love your videos.

So, first, I have to say that I love watching you wonderful ladies - both channels! I tend to align with your message completely, and I'll say it this way "anyone thinking of following a keto lifestyle, needs to find the approach that is sustainable for them". For me, it is almost exactly as you both have said - I do clean keto most of the time, and some dirty keto days, and guess what - sometimes I have regular food BUT I get right back to keto the next day. I try to make those times very rare, but that approach is sustainable for me. I have sent SO many of my friends who want to follow keto to your channel because you both take a 'real world' approach (as do I). I WILL say/emphasize that some people really should monitor their glucose initially if they are diabetic or prediabetic, primarily to determine which foods may cause an insulin spike. I don't, but I also don't have any known insulin issues.

You guys are just great. You are both an inspiration and positive affirmation for a healthy living life style! I've been doing keto on and off for 20 years and you guys have made this hopefully final and permanent round more enjoyable. Thank you so much.

Aw thank you! Sometimes we feel like we are in the minority of people who do keto this way, we are grateful for the support!

I definitely lead a "technically keto" lifestyle. I eat beans all the time, popcorn. But for the most part I eat meat, veggies and dairy. I think in order to not feel deprived, I have to allow a little leeway. Otherwise I'll go off the deep end and ruin my success. I've kept off 25 lbs for over 3 years now. This is what works for me.

I love both your channels and agree with you two 100 percent! People just got too uptight. Gotta do what makes you happy and keeps keto sustainable.

People need to just live their best life and let others do what's best for them! So I say you do you boo and I'll do me. I've been on lazy keto for 4 1/2 years now with a total loss of 120 lbs. And I couldn't be happier. Oh, and no, I do NOT exercise. The most I do is walk at work. Lol. You gal's rock!!!💕💕

Love you ladies!!! You make me feel so good and normal. I do dirty keto, mostly just cutting sugar and carbs but it works and I don't feel guilty if on a special occasion we go out to eat. I do try to eat more low carb but it isn't always possible. You do not need to ever apologize, you are upfront and honest and if anyone gives you grief just block them.😉

I absolutely love you two! I am diabetic, type 2. All my adult life I have stressed about food! I’m over it! I’m eating Whole Foods, and OMAD. I’m down 15 pounds in 5 weeks. MANY more to go. But I’m truly happy that food is no longer dictating every minute of my life. ❤ And my blood sugar is down from 160 to 110!

This is why I enjoy your channels so much. I can put enough pressure on myself if I put my mind to it but humans are imperfect. I like to stay clean but to much regimen for me will make me go off the rails. I was strict carnivore when I found your channel and found my perfect balance for cheat days in keto. Your recipes make me pretty happy. I always appreciate the honesty that comes with your videos.

This video absolutely solidified my appreciation for your channels. I appreciate the honesty and transparency. I’ve been keto since April 2020 and lost 60+ lbs. The last 5 months have been a challenge for me and I’ve gained about 13 lbs. I’m diabetic, celiac and extremely sensitive to gluten. I’m inspired to keep going on keto, thanks!

I love you ladies!! Keep up the amazing and hilarious videos on BOTH channels On those blood monitors, when they ask you to promote, maybe you should turn it around on them and say don’t pay us, give the product to people who truly need it!
