Trust me ladies, you're not the only ones who end up with loose skin after a significant weight loss. We men get it just as much, especially for those of us in our senior years. In the past 22 months, I have lost approximately 75 lbs. I work out in the gym and also occasionally do my 10k steps, all told combined usually 5-6 days a week. I was hoping this activity included with my keto lifestyle could lessen the amount of loose skin. But alas, that is not the case, at least not with me. Still, it beats by a country mile being overweight with high blood sugar and high blood pressure. I'll take that tradeoff every day of the week and twice on Sundays!!

Marie from Alabama here. I ABSOLUTELY love you girls. I relate to your stories. I've been overweight most of my life. I'm 67. Top weight was 304 and I was miserable. I'd lose and gain, lose and gain but never have been able to keep it off. I've heard It's a Llifestyle a thousand times and I'd say, I know, but I didn't know how to do it. You both have convinced me that I CAN lose it and keep it off. I'm at 229 now and want to get to 180-190. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for the videos, your honesty, your humor. Warmly, Marie

@ Marie Colme.... I don't know what your medical situation is but I have been Diabetic for 20+ years and when they were wanting to put me on insulin a couple years ago it really create an intense urgency to finally focus on lifestyle rather than diet. I ended up using my glucometer to see how I responded to any foods that went into my mouth. I desperately needed to get my A1C down it was 7.7 and I monitored my glucometer results for the spiking effects of foods. I finally got convinced that pasta rice potatoes breads dried beans and all starchy vegetables we're all complicating my diabetes and also the sugars in milk and most fruits really affected my blood glucose. I had taken a DNA test about 9 years earlier that showed that my body did not process carbs very well and healthy fats were preferred for my metabolism. Since I had been conditioned over 50+ years that I should focus on lean meats whole grains fresh fruit I was too afraid to trust the DNA results but with insulin looming in my future I finally acted on focusing on only Foods that brought my blood sugars down. I started eating all sorts of types of clean Meats low carb vegetables healthy fats and if I had any fruit it would be just one or two bites at the end of my meal. Eventually I learned about substitution for pastas I now use Conjac root noodles and Palmini occasionally in place of pasta. If I eat pizza I eat the toppings and throw away the crust. I've learned to use unsweetened almond coconut milk and also to thicken things with Chia seed ground flaxseed and use Liquid sweeteners and cacao powder and low glycemic seeds and nuts. My diabetic A1c is down to 5.4 and I've shed 130 lb. I still have about 90 more I need to lose. I'm constantly being asked well when will you start having potatoes and rice and Breads and stuff again and I said if it has carbs it ain't happening. For me carbs and glucose are poison in my body and if I hadn't made changes I would either be dead in a wheelchair or in a nursing home or something and would not have choices on what I could eat. Finally healthy food is fuel. Carb, starch, sugar addiction is very real and is no longer allowed to seduce me. My doctors were not supportive at first with my food choices but they have seen my health drastically improved and they acknowledge that I found what's best for my body. Before I could even focus on doing what I needed I had to start with removing toxic people from my life. I had to love myself enough to protect myself from critical sabotaging individuals because I knew I needed to stable environment to be able to focus on the best things for me. It's really a shame I didn't do this before I got into my 60's I am 63. I had been in excess of 370 lb just a couple years ago. I had been over 300 lb since I was 30 years old. I just wanted to encourage you that it doesn't matter what age you start what matters is that you start and continue and keep going on taking care of yourself. If I can do this anybody on God's green earth can do this for themselves as well. Blessings to you and be good to yourself.

I'm 65 and was overweight to morbidly obese most of my life. Had a gastric bypass in 2003, lost 134 lbs, kept it off for a year and then gained almost all of it back. Took phentermine, phen-phen. Lived a completely unhealthy life. In early 2020, when I saw the insanity occurring around me, I realized that I truly needed to get serious about my health. Found Dr. Berg and started a lazy version of healthy keto. Began to lose weight, but the biggest surprise was losing my sugar addiction. I had thought it was chocolate, but no, it was the sugar. I lost 75lbs the first year and have kept it off for 1.5 years. That in itself is a major accomplishment. I need to lose about 40-50 more, but I am comfortable at this stage. Still overweight, but not drastically. I believe I will eat this way the rest of my life. With so many options and substitutions available I have been able to make most of my favorite foods keto. My husband has tagged along and eats mostly keto, but like yours, chooses to eat other things also. And I am fine with that. He has lost about 75lbs also and doesn't need to lose any more. I love listening to you both and will watch both channels as I like the cooking and talking aspects. Plus, I LOVELOVELOVE your puppies!!!

I too do intermittent fasting. When I was in my 20s I was working 2 jobs and eating one meal a day out of necessity (a big one at my lunch hour) and was shocked that I never gained weight...didn't make the connection until I read about IF years later. I love the freedom I have during the day not having to worry about planning and prepping food. My younger coworkers still are fascinated over the fact that I drink coffee and water at work and then go home to eat my meal.

I’m a 72 year old wheelchair bound service connected spinal cord injured military veteran since 1971. It has been a struggle keeping weight down and have tried everything including starvation. I started keto about 3 months ago and have shed 30 lbs in that time by eating strict and fasting as long as 4 days every month and OMAD daily in between. I have never felt better or slept all night since childhood. I was insulin dependent Type 2 until recently and am ecstatic about no longer having to stab myself in the belly! I still have about 45 lbs of fat to lose to be where I want to be and already have sagging skin, but hey I’m ann old dude (73 in 2 months) in a wheelchair, so who cares anymore, hahahaha! My wife loves me so little else matters I appreciate you guys on both channels and love making lots of your recipes that I share with my beautiful Filipino wife even though she eats lots of rice 3 times a day and is thin. We live here in the Philippines year round and I do miss eating all the awesome fruits and veggies available here, but the fish and meats abound so I’m content. So what’s it matter if an old man in a wheelchair has sagging skin, I wear clothes. 😂

“think of it as a memory” makes the most sense of anything I’ve heard about not eating those old foods. Many years ago I was a smoker, trying to quit every Monday. It wasn’t until I told myself that I would NEVER , EVER smoke again and needed to think of it as a memory I found success.

I started intermittent fasting back in April. Most days are 1-2 meals with no snacking. I’ve worked up to a 3 1/2 day fast and my skin seems to be tightening up. I’m trying to get at least a 2 day fast once a month to get the autophagy benefits. I’ve had two children and gained about 50-60 lbs with both, so my stomach especially has loose skin, but I’m hopeful it will tighten up a bit more. I’ve still got 5-10 lbs to lose.

As you know, it's about to seriously drop here in Chicago, so our window has probably passed. He does do better when there's bbq and 'keto' broccoli salad. 🤷‍♀️ He also mentioned that my keto desserts had improved. 😂Otherwise, pretty much just my sister and me, encouraging one another. 🥰🥰 He does bring 'keto' requests home from Aldi and Walmart, so, yeeeeaa... life is good. 👍

Y’all are the first people that I can relate with everything y’all talk about! I feel exactly the same on every aspect! I would love to have a cheat day every once in a while until I had my first cheat day after a year and a half on keto. So now I realize it’s just not worth a cheat a day because it really don’t even taste that great any more and I feel terrible lol. So now if I feel that way I consider a cheat day having two servings of enlightened ice cream and that’s satisfying without feeling terrible 😂 I love y’all ♥️

I didn't mean to end that comment yet. I was going to say: I never felt physically ill being at the weight that I was (30 pounds more than now), so can't say that I "felt" better, but emotionally I did. Now, I'm so frustrated that I ignored the dependence that I have on certain carbs, have gotten apathetic about it and have gained weight because of this apathy. I'm back to eating a ketogenic way, and have been regularly going to the gym. It is my goal to get back to being in control, and hope to lose weight because of that, but most importantly, don't want to be so carb-dependent. Thanks for this new channel, I enjoy it as much as the other.

Now that I know what is going on with my kidneys and following the plan my doctors put out for me my kidneys are doing better, I lost 20 lbs. in one month part of which was also getting massive sunshine vitamin deficiencies corrected and my low iron fixed with iron infusions which sounds way worse than it is. I am going to keep working on losing more weight but not be crazy about it. I am already starting off with a disadvantage because I make way too much insulin so if I can just continue to lose weight even if it is a slow process then that is good. I am using keto powdered coconut milk for making coffee creamer, chai tea mix (normally 220 calories, my version is 50 calories) and hot cocoa mix. A lot of people are lactose intolerant and reconstituted keto powdered coconut milk doesn't taste like coconut to me. It tastes more like skim milk and 8 oz. is 20 calories with healthy fats and low carbs. I also like to use 100% pure powdered vanilla since it is dry and adds no alcohol, sugar or corn syrup solids. White drinks and foods stay white when made with powdered vanilla extract. I think you ladies look great! There is a lot of pressure on people, particularly women, to look like supermodels or athletes with hardly any body fat. To look like that you have to have hit the genetic lottery with a naturally fast metabolism and lanky build OR work on it as a full-time job with diet and a lot of work out sessions. Getting healthy should be the most important priority.

If you remember that good fats gives satiety when you're in your feed window, then you will always remember to eat sufficient fats included in your meal along with your protein and veggies if you choose, you will see this way of eating will hold back hunger because you are truly NOT hungry so you'll see that naturally you go OMAD. It's worth a try.

Hi Ladies, love you and your channels 😊. I lost 40lbs in 3 mos on keto eating mostly omad. I now keep it off eating breakfast and lunch only. I go back to omad for a week if I gain a couple (literally 2 ) lbs. I get up every Sunday morning, go to the bathroom ,then get naked on the scale and weigh myself. That determines if I’m 2 keto meals a day or omad for that week. It’s habit now and I’ve maintained for over a year and going strong. Some loose skin but I’m 75 so don’t really care how I look naked. I look good in clothes though😉

I'm an expert on loose skin- unfortunately😂.in my 30's or 40's I could lose 20 lbs & my skin would snap back ( I dance) Now 69 and just lost 15 lbs in 3 months ....OMG the skin is hanging--- everywhere! Keto strips the fat out under your skin like nothing else!!! Dehydration is part of it- but the best solution-- long sleeves, NO shorts, no bright lights if u date😂🤪

Just recently found your two channels and they seriously make me smile. I've been keto... actually probably more technically low carb (50-60 grams total carbs not net) for 3.5 years. NONE of the weight came off fast. Probably took 2 years to lose 22 pounds. I am post menopausal so thats part of it but i can eat like horse and if you put chaffles in a feed bag, I would be a happy woman. I do 16:8 fasting everyday. I watched your infrared blanket video. Curious if you still use it? Wondering if it would help shed the last 10 pounds. Also have you made a crispy chocolate chaffle?

Yes we do use it! Not as intensely as I did to lose the weight but I might start again as it gets cold here in Chicago :)

IMHO When limiting carbs it's easier to do intermittent fasting because I'm just not hungry. But if I eat carbs I get very hungry more often. It is related to hunger hormones. I feel so much better on low carb diet. I changed eating pattern for healt, but lost 25-30 pounds. I don’t want to loose any more weight, but still have the better health.

I do OMAD, basically Keto/Ketovore low carb, but I've heard other KZbin channels saying you have to eat over 2000 calories, but honestly, I can't get close to 2000 or more calories 🤔 please advise!!! Love both your channels

Hi girls! Great video as always. It is 4 p.m. and I haven’t eaten anything yet. It’s not to difficult for me. It just sort of happens. If I’m hungry earlier I will eat. I would love to see your mom and see some of her recipes made keto friendly. I’m sure her meals are delicious! Thanks also for mentioning gardening videos. I really want to do some planting in my front yard but sadly I don’t have a green thumb. My sister got that gene, lol. I’m going to do some searching on KZbin! Thanks so much! I’d love to know what kind of business Emily started. Love entrepreneurship! You two are fantastic and I really appreciate all that you do!💞💞

Hey ladies, I am interested in trying Factor. I also do OMAD with keto, but I notice that the meals are below 1,000 calories, do you add things to these Factor meals to meet your calorie requirements for the day?

My mother was a twin. My auntie Ruth and my mama we’re identical twins to look at them. However my mother always weighed at least 30 or 40 pounds more than my aunt and my aunt could eat carbs but mama couldn’t. She would gain. Yes…they were heavy. Always on a diet. And I just wondered are you two The same or is one of you able to eat more carbs then the other? Is one bigger then the other. You look the same to me. I lost 75 lbs in 2014. I have loose skin. It’s not so bad. I would rather have some loose skin and wear a size 8 than not have loose skin and wear size 20 like I did. Unfortunately during the last two years I’ve gained 20 pounds. I’m back on Atkins low carb. I can’t do the one meal a day because I have hypoglycemia and I will get sick and have a horrible headache. So I’m a nibbler and I nibble on small amounts of protein. As for a full meal…..I just can’t eat a lot at one time. I love your low carb recipes. Thank you for your real world approach to losing weight. 🤗❤️

That makes sense though, talking about loose skin. Bc skin has weight to it as well. So, if you have loose skin than part of your weight is that skin. So it makes sense just bc I was thinking that you look smaller than 17-162 but now I understand why. Anyway, this is good info👍🏻

I'm a baby boomer and back in my day when you were at your ideal size you wore tapered clothes meaning clothes that FIT your body modestly without elastic but with a belt. My worst 4letter word. Lol 😂 anyway when you feel snug in clothes like these, you're aware and should be triggered to rein it in on your eating habits if you found you have strayed too much from your diet

Fasting is very effective for weight loss and health, especially if you can combine it with low carb/keto. It supposedly increases your metabolism as well. I follow Dr Sten Ekberg on KZbin. He has a ton of very informative videos.
