Do not cut the net just unhook the cone and invert the inside the of net and you can pour the dead flies out

Have you tried just hanging a small rubber ball? Flies are attracted to heat. They use infrared to find food. This is why they’re attracted to the warm poop. If you can find a ball small enough to allow them to get into the inner cone I think you’ll be happy with the result. Just suspend the ball in the middle of the opening. Also, I would consider moving the net/trap in full sun. Again, they are attracted by heat. Good luck.

You can take off the bowl and let the net down and the flies fall out through the hole

If you removed the bowl and unhooked the cone could you shake out the dead flies into the trash?

Possibly...it could work, but the flies would have to fall out of that one center hole. Little legs, heads and wings would go flying everywhere. They dry up and shrivel up like little fly raisins in there.

F C - the only way I can see is to shake them all out through that one center hole. Or you can cut a slit in the mesh and sew it back together after. But if you handle it...the whole thing is mesh...there is no way to avoid touching all the dead bugs. Honestly...I don't know if I would try emptying it, it's just gross. At the least, I'd wait for all the flies to be dead and dry and wear gloves.

Tommy Jeffries - you can reuse them. Just depends on if you'd want to. I heard that you could set it out in the sun so all the flies dry up. Then crush them. Then shake out. I'm just saying...that's gross and messy...plus there are spiders in mine. Just ewww! Lol

After trying all the suggestions of different foods, raw liver/organs, meat, cat foods, etc - I finally bought fly attractant. That and location gave me the best results.
