If i lived in London/ any other big city, I would have bought this bike without a second thought. It does, however, look like a thief magnet so taking the batteries with you every time you park it in a public place could be a hassle.

Depends on the city. I've noticed in my city people leave their nice bikes out when running errands. But yes. Definitely put in in a locked garage overnight

I’ve just ordered one! Great customer experience so far. I have a full bike licence and am definitely not a hipster graphic designer! I just want a simple, silent, lightweight little bike that will be fun to ride locally, won’t require much maintenance and will have very low running costs. I think it looks cool and I don’t really care what anyone else thinks. I’m too old to worry about that! Superb 0% finance deal available until 15 Sep 24 too 😀👍

By everyone you mean you? I'm still buying them. Have a dualtron, roadrunner pro, kaabo wolfking gt and a Letric bike... but ok... everyone 🤔

It’s a commuter bike, but has no usable storage for anything, including the helmet and it seems pretty useless in the usual British weather. It’s a commuter bike, but it could be easily be written off with a crowbar to remove the battery packs. Apart from the wheels, batteries and the seats, there’s not much to it. It’s a thief’s dream come true. It’s an electric bike with very limited range and it takes ages to charge, but you need a driving licence for it. It’s more expensive than anything comparable to its performance. At £7,500, it’s for the graphic designer hipsters in cities who never had a proper bike or car but can’t be bothered to ride the bus anymore. They will soon sell up, cut their losses and try a proper scooter. The rest of the dozen sales to California will be to the same hipster type who will only realise it after delivery that there’s not much vegan food they can put in that fake fuel tank. Then the company will fold, leaving another set of devastation in the deluded EV faux industry.

Awh, cute, you're trying to think! Why would weather make a bike any less useful? Besides, the range is fine, no one usually uses bikes for long-haul travel, you'll be in a car or on a train for that, but 80 miles on a charge with hot-swap batteries will do nicely. Besides, the batteries are removable, that's the whole point. If you're worried about someone nicking them, you take 'em with you. Point me out a motorbike that isn't wheels, power, seat. That's what one is... And point me to one with adequate storage for a helmet. As for price and target market, well, that says maybe, but clearly they're doing well enough to come out with a second edition and plan further products. So, can't be doing that bad off the tofu-eating city hipster market!

They literally offer a large storage bag when ordering. Maybe... research before speaking. And "limited range" do you know how much 80 miles in a dense city is? That's like three weeks of commuting

@@y2j13 A claimed 80 miles range when new may easily mean 65-70 in real life and degradation starts from there, with mountains, heat, cold, high speed all further reducing the range. A real-life 60 mile range means that you can ride half an a hour away and back, with range anxiety, from 100% to 0%, ignoring the usual advice to keep charge between 20 and 80% to preserve the battery health. Wouldn’t you want to get out of the city sometimes in your bike?
