I have a set of Pinhawks from 5 to lob wedge. I wouldn't trade them for anything!! I get doo distance, good control, and they are so comfortable to use. You really feel when you hit the sweet spot!!

I have played my Pinhawks for over a year (4-LW). Very happy with them. Consistency is great. It let's me focus on the swing and performance. No questioning if it was the different length between clubs causing problems. Because of this, I have upgraded the shafts to fit my style even better. The finish of the faces have held up well with weekly play.

I should also mention that I was fitted for these clubs. I did not just buy them off the shelf! I have a degree offset, a 2-degree lie, and lightweight carbon shafts with slightly oversized grips. I am in my 70's!! I need all the help I can get!! LOL, I also found I need to deloft the irons to ensure I trap the ball and hit the sweet spot but I did that with my old regular irons anyway so it was not a big adjustment. I do deloft more with these SL irons, though. My yardage is as good as I can expect with a 95 MPH swing speed!! I used to have a 110 MPH swing speed but those days are behind me!! My 5 iron is good for 170 plus yards. Not bad for an old man!! I love these Pinhawk SL's. I would recommend them to anyone from pro to an amateur just starting out!

There’s always a mental adjustment when you go to single length woods or irons. It’s hard to force your body into changing a ball position you’ve been accustomed to for years and years. With practice, it gets easier and more comfortable. In the end, you become more consistent than traditional length. But if you don’t clear the mental hurdle, it will be hard to get the results you desire.

@SimplifyYourSwing Жыл бұрын
There will be a lot of engineering to do that. I’d start by recommending finding your most confident club you hit and make them that length. Then you’re going to need to make sure all the club weights match and start working on lie angles. It will be a challenge, but I’d love to hear how it works out!

So, I'm thinkin of making the move and of course, Cobra gets a lot of media time. You've played the Cobra and the latest iteration is the SpeedZone or RadSpeed. Between your Cobra's and these Pinkhawks, which ones would you recommend to a 68 year-old 18 handicapper. I'm pretty slender and athletic with a swing in the upper 80's - lower 90's. This will be my first go with single length but I cut my current 5 and 6 irons to my 7-iron length and i like it. What is your rec. for me? thx.

How is the distance difference from traditional Iron 4 vs it’s equivalent in the single length?
@SimplifyYourSwing3 жыл бұрын
I won’t lie and say it was exactly the same right away. There was a mental adjustment that took some time. But once I was dialed into the single length system and concept, I got near identical distances and in fact, maybe a little more from the single lengths because you find the center of the face much more often.

I originally started with the Cobra F7's and fell in love with the one length idea. Then Cobra made the F8's that worked out a few bugs with the F7's (long irons flying too low, short irons flying too high) absolutely love the F8's but being a club Ho, I will definitely be looking for the new ones next season. Usually can find them in great condition for a good price from someone who tried them but gave up right away.

You’re looking at 11 years of technology changes. Irons have gotten significantly better. I would definitely look at upgrading. My policy is every 4-5 years for irons, 2-3 years on drivers and woods.

Please try or add the Pinhawk single length hybrids, i have a whole set in my cart but it seems like a huge risk without knowing anything about them. Thanks!
@SimplifyYourSwing4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t have those at my disposal at this point, and not sure when I’ll be able to get them. However, here’s what I can tell you from my experience, and is what you typically find. Hybrids tend to be easier to hit overall, but when you’re talking single lengths, it’s more about the flight. The hybrids fly higher and land softer than the same irons, while keeping the same distance. Also, I’ve noticed with some students that when making the change, they typically tend to do better with the hybrids because they don’t try to kill a 4 or 5 iron. PinHawk makes quality equipment, and I believe the hybrids would be a good choice.
@No_Fear_334 жыл бұрын
@@SimplifyYourSwing thanks for the reply. I'm currently using an old set of Callaway I-brid all hybrid 10 piece set but im tired of variable for the past 6 years and all the toe and heal hits and inconsistent swing rates. So I’ve had a few sets I’ve been able to test and compare. One company is no longer in business. But I still like the look and feel of my Forged Tec Blacks as my current gamers. I’m hoping to get my hands on some additional sets to test in the next few months.

@@SimplifyYourSwing I had all those sets even the 2020 and the pin hawks was my first set of one length I loved the 2018 tecs due too the buttery soft feel but they were inconsistent at times the forged Tex 2020 are ok but the 2018 were better too me ... @@jadamane I love the feel off the forget Tec black vs the Pinhawk. It’s got that buttery feel to it. @@SimplifyYourSwing right I’ve tested a lot of clubs I currently game pxg xf gen 2... they are great clubs but I like the one length concept overall so I’m debating if I should go back too OL... and if I do it will be cobra but f9’s I’m a big cobra fan ... I think they have the best clubs is my beliefs . For some reason ranching off too other brands I’m always going back too cobra ... the 2018 black are the best irons when it comes too low and mid handicap I’m a high handicap I shoot in the low 90’s and using the cobra low handicap irons they still fit me well as in on course golf testing. The f9’s where so fun too use ,unfortunately I broke one of my shafts when using so I bought another brand next time around ... I’m def going back too cobra just hard too decide do I want the feel? Or do I want the straight shooters which the f9’s provide... I like clubs that don’t produce a lot of workability ... I know how too shoot a fade or a draw but I like seeing straight flight and on mis swings I don’t want a drastic sudden fade or draw . I realized with the f9 on miss swing they tried hard too not fade or draw it was like shooting straight all the time or slight push or pull..., i like that concept of the deep cavity back they provide so I just may go back too them f9’s with a nice graphite shaft. A lot of people dismiss the 2018 and say they are too heavy but that’s because the stock shaft amt is on the heavy side . They are for strong swingers ,if you not strong you will dismiss them. They should place a shaft that fits them in the forged Tec and they will love them especially if they like the workability side ... I only Ben playing for three years and I played many clubs check my page out on ig the reallionWoods I got much content
