There are 2 ways, one is with the JTAC-AutoLase script (which is available included in CTLD or separately), or use a FAC Mission task in the mission editor. The latter requires the use of proper JTAC procedures (9 line etc)

@@Ironwulf2000 Thanks, I'll try the script. AFAIK the predator does not have the lase option in the fac mission in the editor. Could only find it on the hummer. Also the 9-line is very verbose for a "game" so will give the script a go!

I've got just over 40 years in computing and have worked on what are not completely redundant systems. Many of the people I knew in the 80s worked on defence contracts and looking at these systems in DCS its honestly so close to running old minicomputers and mainframes, its the same ancient mindset. Scary frankly. So out of date!

Can you go more in depth of what you are talking about? Are you talking about Razbam or DCS? Are you talking about the A2G modeling of the actual way they target a ground object in a Harrier? What are you getting "scared" about?

Hey cap. You guys should do a large PVE campaign mission where it’s US navy/air force/NATO vs Russian federation/Eastern Bloc with realistic(ish) numbers (maybe when the elevators on the supercarriers are in) and simulate potential conflict happening from Russia’s expanse into Georgia. Just a thought. Love the videos. Keep it up! 😉

Is this tutorial already outdated? I click on LMV2 on the loadout menu and it doesn't show the channel. The numberpad shows and is able to be entered. I also can't get the page with the moving X to show up. Using the LMV2. Trying to designate my own target and it fire.

Russia finally has unveiled S500,it will not replace s400 its just going to back it up. Both systems have data link and they are able to share between other fighter jets and naval units giving it more flexibility and every other unit.S500 its main purpose it will be to shoot down targets such as(AWACS, bombers, ballistic missiles, ICBMs and stealth aircraft...). S500 will be protected by multi layer defence such as 9K330 Tor, 2K22 Tunguska, Pantsir-S1 or S2, S400, Krasukha 4 (electronic warfare system), possibly BUK m3 , in couple year maybe laser defence and fighter jets. S400 S500 engagement range 400KM 600KM max simultaneous target 6 10 engagement response time 9-10sec 3-4sec engagement type hit to kill, hit to kill, conventional conventional and warhead Nuclear warhead Also for your sink the carrier group videos try using 3M22 zircon hyper sonic missile it can be launched from mig 31,tu-22m3 and maybe from su 57 but thats hard to believe due to the size of the missile it should be able to sink the carrier because of its speed Mach 8-Mach 9 im not sure if the mod exist but have a shot at it. take care. Honestly, it is an absolutely bizarre change and adds nothing really functional? Respect that RAZBAM keeps working on their modules, but sometimes it's a bit overdone.

It is how it works in real life. That is why. Es are JTAC and E2s are self lasing. Yeah I wish they would make the Tarawa a real ship instead of just a platform in the water.

But self-lasing LGBs is not possible any more? Very weird. Really upsetting. As is the removal of IR Mavericks and GBU-54. Not quick with saying that but I will not pre-order Razbam modules any longer. I do not mind if it takes a long time to get a module final (real jets are sharing this problem to a certain degree). But removing stuff because "loadout was never used in real life even though the jet was capable" is not great at all. Leave to mission designers to restrict load-outs / weapons. Harrier was one of my favorite modules despite some issues but they really manage it poorly. Update: seems to be back to normal. Some glitches but I will try a fresh install / repair later. Sorry if I was a bit quick with my conclusions. I am really glad if the Harrier is closer again to how it was earlier. As said, it is one of my favorite modules, interesting to fly from a flight model (very different to other aircraft). If mission planners use it as "close to the front line" CAS unit it can really shine.

You can self lase lgbs, IRMAVs are going no where, and the 54s have not been removed

No change to LGBs. Those can still self lase as before. IR Mavs are not removed.

Are you on open beta or stable? In OB I was not able to self-lase LGB. As soon as the TPOD is activated HUD goes ////. IR Mavs: try to load them: they are selectable in the loading screen but after spawning the weapon stations are empty.

@Ironwulf2000 I used presets and also tried manual loading per station. Did a re-install of the Harrier but did not change anything. Have to say I am on Steam. Maybe that causes issues? E.g. in the mission editor the extra waypoint tab for the Harrier is also not available. Though I recall that Cap mentioned this feature was missing on his installation while being present on RC's.
