I think rtx 4060 with i5 4570 is kinda bottlenecking

EXCELLENT VIDEO, recently purchased a tested cpu to update it and when changing the memories and the processor, when turning it on it gave a black screen and no video and the fans sound loud and nothing happens, any solution? Thanks in advance

Could you provide details about the RAM and CPU model numbers? If you're also upgrading the Dell Precision T1700, ensure that you don't mix ECC RAM with non-ECC. Additionally, when changing the CPU, check for any bent pins in the CPU socket. Also please try to boot the PC with a sigle stick of RAM if it work, turn off the PC and add another RAM module and try to boot again.

@@itggear yes of course, ram memory: killisre pc3-12800-clcl11 "8gb dd3 1600", and a 4690 4th gen processor, card video 1050 4gg Low profile, I have bought 02 cpu that came with an i3 4th gen and 4gb 1333 ram, I am I think it is due to some update in the Bios

Would you mind checking if this machine would work with Intel Arc A-series card? I wanna know, because these rigs have resizable BAR

In my opinion, I think it should work. However, I can't confirm compatibility with any model other than the one in this video since I haven't tried it yet. Thank you.

does the xeon processor in the t1700 bottleneck the 4060?
@itggear3 ай бұрын
It depends on the specific Xeon processor model, but generally, older Xeon CPUs might bottleneck a modern GPU like the 4060 in certain scenarios.

What are all the adapters you need for dell to an x79 zsus could you plz let me know I'm doing one
@itggear5 ай бұрын
Do you mean you want to install a Zsus motherboard in the Dell Precision T1700 tower case? If yes, you’ll need an NVMe M.2 SSD adapter. Since X79 boards don’t natively support NVMe, this adapter allows you to use an NVMe M.2 SSD as a boot drive. Keep in mind that it won’t run at full speed. Hope that helps!

what about airflow? im sure that pc can game with a temp near 60
@itggear5 ай бұрын
There’s a rear case fan on the Dell Precision T1700 Tower, which should be enough for the RTX 4060 because the RTX 4060 is the most efficient GPU card, consuming only 115W. The GPU choice is the critical factor for upgrading an OEM desktop PC like this one.
@muhammedomesh17645 ай бұрын
@@itggear Well the 4000 series are a special case since they cool really efficientely. But i plan to fit a low budget gtx 1060 into it so im worried about the airflow since even with integrated gpus this thing used to get hot back then.
@itggear5 ай бұрын
Generally, prebuilt PCs tend to limit airflow. Most GPUs designed for OEM PCs follow a blower-style design. Since older Dell desktop PCs use proprietary fan connectors, adding additional fans can be challenging. However, you can use SATA or Molex fan adapters to add more fans to the case.

Can you boot with nvme ?
@itggear7 ай бұрын
The Dell Precision T1700 tower does not natively support booting from an NVMe SSD installed in a PCIe slot. However, there are workarounds you can explore, such as using tools like CLOVER or modifying the BIOS settings. Achieving NVMe boot support may require some technical expertise and experimentation.
