I wish people would just take a second to remember how intense the radio was in 91. I literally remember sitting there hearing High Enough, Lithium, Enter Sandman, and Even Flow in one sitting. The radio was on a total different level back then.

+chabadoogi Today it is 100% different!!!!!!!! All radio station go 100% for ratings - PERIOD!!!!!!!! So to get higher ratings they will play a good guitar ballad, then a soft rock song - then a country ballad- so that EVERYBODY will wait their turn for a descent song!!!! They would rather have EVERYBODY listening for 30 minutes - than the entire world listening from 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!! It is all about the NUMBERS - they don't give two shits about the music they are playing - RATINGS - RATINGS - RATINGS - RATINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+chabadoogi If that was your experience in 91, you were lucky. Here in South Australia the radio was SHIT! Even the two stations (1 local, 1 national) that did sometimes play metal only did it occasionally, and most stations were the worst kind of commercial, wimpy, yuppy, pathetic pop and regurgitated soft-cock rock travesties that you could not imagine even in your worst nightmares. In '91 I was an angry young man!!! And most of it had to do with Adelaide radio.

Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved! (Romans 10:9-13))

Can you take me high enough Can you fly me over yesterday? Can you take me high enough? It's never over and yesterday's just a memory. I was running I was running for the door The next thing I remember I was running back for more Ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't say goodbye Say you're gonna stay forever, Oh, whoa, all the way, all the way, Come all the way, yeah. Can you take me high enough Can you fly me over yesterday? Can you take me high enough? It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Can you take me high enough Won't you fly me over yesterday? Can you take me high enough? It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

I remember when this came out in 1990. Starting my senior year of high school. I like it just as much now as back then. Played the death out of my CD of this. This song really should have hit number one on the charts, it is that good. Strange to think how much time has gone by since then, seems like yesterday in a way.

I remember when rock radio announced in 1989 that the guys making up Damn Yankees were collectively coming together to start up this new "super group". I knew before even hearing their first hit that it was going to be epic just based on how much I liked the work of all the individual members from their previous bands. Well, the results wildly exceeded my expectations and the rest is rock history for us to still enjoy today!
