Audience please understand that eating 28g of rice is not equal to eating 28g of pure sugar in terms of how our body process them. Carbohydrates in foods (like rice) are broken down into glucose, the simplest sugar, during digestion. Pure sugars are simple carbohydrates and are absorbed quickly into the bloodstream. so sugar causes a faster spike in blood sugar levels compared to complex carbohydrates.

Because of Sri Lanka is a hot country, for normal ppl who goes in public transport, worked in heat conditions burns a lot of calories. They may need more calorie intake than ppl who lives in air conditioning areas
