Stick to things you know where possible and try and make videos which you enjoy making, where you enjoy talking about the subject matter, it makes things much easier!

Missed out on my ebay bid for a 51' pattern compass holder, binocular case and ammo pouch. I'm sure it will come up again somewhere. Another set of braces are also on my hit list. Great views and explanations as usual. Really enjoyed the detailed videos of yours on the 1951 pattern, Thanks!

That's a bugger. My maxim in such situations is always 'they made more than one!'

If you use a candle to "wax" the press studs they will be easier to open and will be more gentle on the old webbing. Just a tip from a fellow collector. Great channel by the way.

Thanks for the tip, alas I didn't even get chance to lubricate the press stud with this, I believe it was the first time I opened the pouch!

Those damned press studs, I have always had bad luck with them so i'm always paranoid to open them. Recently had one on a Dutch KM S6 Bag break so I will need to track down as replacement so I feel your pain. As always great stuff, always looking forward to more. I still need the 51 compass pouch but have everything else, am in the process of getting all of the 51 MG items.

Excellent o hear you're getting there with the 1951 Pattern kit. A shame about the press stud indeed but my friend Allen might be able to help me repair it.

Where did you purchase the webbing from? Just genuinely curious

Really neat video as always. I've been on the lookout for Canadian gear lately. Considering the US shares over 5,000 miles of border with Canada, you'd think it would be easier to find some here...
@RiflemanMoore4 жыл бұрын
Hope you succeed in finding some, it was my understanding that Canadian gear does turn up in the US fairly frequently.

This stuff disappeared from Canadian surplus shops decades ago. I would guess that it turns up at gun and militaria shows here occasionally.
