I admire your innovative idea with the rim tape. Over here some guys throw away the rim tape and literally tape around the rim with some sticky PVC tape to re[place it. I will be fitting a rim lock to both wheels shortly and will use some anti-rust spray to clean up the rim as you have. Thanks again!

Thanks mate🙂 yeah I think sticky pvc tape and say duct tape can be good if job needs to be in a hurry. Should last long too but never tried 😉. And yup best to arrest rusting at the earliest before it gets out of hand. Cheers

Hey buddy great video! I had a question, I've been watching a lot of videos on converting the spoked rim to tubeless set up by using silicon and stuff on the spoke nibbles... Also I saw a few people doing a split tube method. What's your take on both the methods?

Hey mate, its not that good an option if you wish to keep the bike for long. let me try and explain. As far as "jugaads" go they are innovative but are dangerous and should be ruled out if you take you bike out on highways and offroading. These are tube type tires and thus side walls cannot bear the load on there own without the tube as the ply and construction are completely different than a tubeless tyre. Tubeless tires have strengthened sidewalls which provide rigidity on the move. Try riding one with such mods and you will instantly feel the difference while cornering as it will be one hell of a nervous handler because of the flex in the side walls. And the silicon thing will restrict any further spoke adjustment for truing and alignment. Its a long topic and needs a proper description about the perils of these mods. I will see if I can make a detailed vid in the near future. Cheers
