The dinos were probably stock models bought online rather than painstakingly modelled in production. I'm not aware of many feathered dino models. Feathers are one of the worst things to model accurately, which is probably why the CG community are a bit behind the times on this. Even using stock models, any teen with a bit of 3D animation skill could probably do better. I was laughing aloud at the too-quick deaths, the total lack of shadows and the failure to integrate the models with the background. The Tyrannosauri climbing up the hill at the end is probably the worst CGI I've ever seen.

Was gonna say. I could probably do better with zero experience in animation. I mean it'd take a while but at least I'd do it with the eye of someone who understands the concepts. Movement of big things needs to be slower and weighty. Look at Pacific Rim vs Pacific Rim 2. First one looks better because the mechs moved like hulking kaiju sized things.

I remember watching this one with my best friend. We made up a running gag about two particular raptors, named them Steve and Jay, and they were guarding their gigantic trashpile named "Dacha" (or "Country House" for you english speakers) from other dinos with a giant fly swatter. While also building a wall made from....well....feces.....with their koala friend Herbert who's name they continually mispronounce as "Herpes". Ahhh good times.

Continuity isn't a polite suggestion the Guns don't kill the Raptors and other dinosaurs in the movie for several minutes, and then it is altered because the guns begin to work, and the whole only 24 hour is dropped because they got more than 24 Hours.
