8:13 There are so many MMDA enforcers there everyday including pasay police, and they can't stop people from loading and unloading in that part. But when Gadget Addict and the "crew" comes, all of a sudden no one is loading and unloading. It means the MMDA enforcers assigned in that location are not doing their job, instead ticketing color coding vehicles, cause its fewer, and easier. They know they won't get much out of ticketing jeeps and motorcyles
@migueldelacruz50545 ай бұрын
That's true. I pass by that area everyday and see enforcers just sitting and chatting.
@GadgetAddict5 ай бұрын
That's the problem.. operation teams can't be everywhere at once. Yes things will improve while they're there, and with enough tickets issued, they can make a lasting difference But ultimately, for the biggest impact, it comes down to whether fixed-post enforcers in an area will be as equally strict and diligent in their enforcement - as well as whatever orders they're given from above. The irony is, those who work the hardest, are often the ones who get bashed the most. While those who do nothing, continue to fly under the radar 🤷

Yes, you can tow the ebike if they have violations. Just issue a ticket and ask for person's name who's going to pick it up. That's the only way they can do for now, and if that person decided to get a license, it will already appear they have violation already. Just only my suggestion.
@ebi60975 ай бұрын
E trike drivers should at the very least be required to have a valid ID on them. Its weird that LTO doesn't require them to have drivers license when its a motorized vehicle. I see children on the daily driving 4 wheel electric vehicles swerving in and out of lanes.
@zivrodriguez37245 ай бұрын
Certain e trikes already require license. Not all motorized vehicles require licensure. The e-trikes that require license exceed a certain amount of speed and weight (typically exceeding 30 kmh for heavier etrikes, or 60kmh for lighter etrikes), making them akin to motorcycles. The ones that do not require licenses are below a certain amount of speed and weight (below 30kmh) making them more like electrically assisted bicycles. It's a good alternative to using cars and motorcycles and in my opinion should be incentivized instead of vilified.

Also, those of us that live in Manila have to occasionally suffer rolling brown outs in the summer due to lack of energy resource's and 100,000's mini Tesla's (my name for these stupid little electric trikes) will only make it worse being plugged in every night.

Unfortunately that's how it goes in a lot of areas. And I guess that's why you see so many road fatalities, and injuries in general. It's a very difficult job, to bring order to the chaos. Sometimes people just don't want to put in the effort, or simply don't believe there's a big enough benefit to enforcing the law. And I guess sometimes it's a matter of manpower. Ultimately each driver or rider should be responsible and do the right thing, whether there's an enforcer or not. But if people never see any kind of enforcement, eventually a lot of them will give up on the rules.
@reynaldoflores45225 ай бұрын

I really hate that registration plates are not “required” to travel. I know LTO lack/have a shortage of proper plates but vehicles, SPECIFICALLY motorcycles, should have readable identification marks. I specifically called out motorcycles because 99% of motorcycles I see don’t have proper plates. Even if they do, it’s untraceable. Before you motorcycle drivers react, I’ll point out that 99% of 4wheeled vehicles I see have proper, readable identification plates. Even if they don’t have the official plates, they have conduction stickers/plates. It’s easy to identify them.
@GadgetAddict5 ай бұрын
I've lost count of the number of times they've apprehended a motorcycle without a plate, or with a "for registration" plate, and then when the rider opened his compartment, the actual proper LTO plate is inside. The initial violation for flagging them down is not related to the plate, it's usually something like riding without a helmet. I agree that LTO has made a big mess of plates over the years. But at the very least, a temporary plate should be attached - with the correct details on it. And that is actually required by law.
