Thank you for a nut-free white sauce! There's no way I can afford cashews as often as I want to make these sorts of recipes
@anti-ethniccleansing4654 жыл бұрын
Seriously! Cashews are incredibly expensive! Someone has to be pretty well off to have cashews as a staple whatsoever; that’s for sure! They are so dang delicious though, aren’t they? Whenever I treat myself to them (very rarely unfortunately, because I am a poor S.O.B), I freaking inhale them LOL. I never understood why they are so expensive until I took the time one day to watch a couple of videos of how they were processed. It indeed is a very laborious process that takes a lot of time.
@sandracarli11103 жыл бұрын
In addition to that, cashews are so high in calories. The ones used for the other recipes, 1 1/2 C, have over 1200 calories!

@davidthescottishvegan4 жыл бұрын
Great that you have managed to grow cauliflower. Unfortunately due to the dry weather we have been getting recently and also the high temperatures it would fail because cauliflower needs low temperatures(between 10°C and 14°C is fine but the temperatures have been over that recently which would cause it to bolt).
@erinreed60294 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks,welvoming my bountiful harvest. Living on the Pacific northwest ilander we have a wonderful brassica season. Cool then warm but always a bit on the damp side 😧😧howeves, season lasts long and strong. Hot veg like tomast's cuc's and pep's need green house or hoop house. Luckily I'm spoiled I have both. Thanks for your comment. Good luck with you're garden this year

currently on a version of the AIP (autoimmune protocol) diet per my naturopath doctor's orders for the next month and i was searching high and low the past 2 days for a good cauliflower based alfredo sauce to put on top of spaghetti squash and i swear you read my mind. none of the other recipes i found sounded good at all. they all sounded basic and bland and you always deliver with powerful flavored sauces! the only things i'll have to omit in the recipe are the smoked paprika and tahini because i can't have things in the nightshade family (paprika) and i can't have seeds (tahini). i'll also be using chickpea miso rather than the soy version because i also can't have soy. i pray to God it tastes just as good!
