Too zen, too defensive for fighting. Fighters have to be aggressive in order to win fights. In this fight, Robbie was the more aggressive one, and Nick didn't even want to be there. That's the main reason Nick lost. Other reasons include Nick's gotten slow and haven't been active for 7 years.

Robbie is probably the most humble, self-aware, down to earth fighter theres been I think. He never injects himself into bullshit, never takes anything away from his opponents, is the only fighter I've seen that never answers questions about his opponents when the media are trying to get clcickbait answers, never makes derogatory remarks, insult or assumptions about this or that, he always answers with 'I just try and focus on myself' which is what a fighter should be doing... I love the way he carries himself. However i also enjoy the differences in characters and the more brash and mouthy fighters too. It's cool to see all the different personalities, my favourite fighter being Paddy (before anyone says I'm just on the 'paddy wagon' I'm from the UK, used to live in liverpool and have followed his cage warriors career fromnthe start almost so back off haha) Robbie just stands out with how kindly and respectfully he carries himself, and I like that a lot!

Definitely a memorable fight nonetheless, and one for the books!

I don't understand these insinuations that need Nick needs to 'turn his life around' or 'get his life together.' He is a teacher. He and his brother probably have numerous sponsorship deals going on. @@mannycole2988 I think Nick is already in the process of turning his life around. He did smoke a lot of weed before/possibly still does smoke now which does take a toll on your mental health in the long run (anxiety, psychosis, short term memory etc.) However Nick did look mentally in a much better place then I've ever seen him in the lead up to the fight and to be honest I enjoyed listening to Nick take his time and speak what he was thinking. I think what many people still imagine is the old Nick Diaz who would show up right after blazing, yell angrily at his opponent and then proceed to disappear completely other than random KZbin videos accusing other fighters, and that has clearly changed and mentally he looks in a much healthier place

Breathing heavy with things not going his way, Nick pulled the ," No Mas" move, took his money and went home. That is not the Nick DIaz of legend. I mean Ortega and Merab both could of quit, but niether did and in Merab's case he won the fight, Brian almost won. Nick is done, sad to say. I hate to say it, but that was not "heart" from Diaz- he quit. Compare where he decided not to get up, with Brian Ortega- Brian Ortega showed heart. Robbie is pure class, he doesn’t want to say Diaz is a quitter and gave up like the media wants him to say. Much respect to him and big congratulations, he looked much improved over his last few fights.

Clearly Diaz not prepared He knew it and said he knew he had it coming as a result. His team should have rescheduled.

Classic Lawler, nothing but respect. Big congrats to him on his win. It was hard seeing Nick the way he was, it broke my heart. Nick will always be my favorite fighter. The things he did inside of the cage were just incredible and what he did for the sport. He paved the way for his baby brother Nate, who also changed the game in his own way. It’s beautiful to see how much those brothers love and respect one another. The Diaz brothers should be HOF abound, if they’re not inducted it will be a tragedy. I hope Nick will continue to coach his students and work with kids and find true happiness. 🙏🤛🏻👏🏻
