I LOVE the fact that there is water in the Corop Lakes. In this video I visit the two large public lakes (Greens Lake And Lake Cooper) and fish for redfin (Perch) before fishing an irrigation channel on my way to finish my day fishing at the Waranga Basin.
FYI The Corop Lake is made up by two large public lakes, Greens Lake and Lake Cooper. There are also a number of smaller lakes including Lake Stewart which is on private land and a few unnamed small natural lakes on private property.

It's great to see a few red fin. A couple days after the Cod Classic we travelled to Lake Hume to try for red fin. It was sunny and hot, middle of the day, to me low water on those long shallow banks and no structure, we didn't fish. We're we wrong. Caught one red fin in the past twenty years

Hi Robbie, I used to fish the east Kiewa as a kid and would catch a couple of nice sized trout, but quite a few Redfin. The cleaned fish were steamed and the skin and bones discarded and fish meat mixed and made into patties....better than tuna patties anyday!

Scared the pellets out of those Hares 🤣I don't mess with filleting and skinning Redfin. I much prefer to simply wrap the whole fish in foil and easily peel the skin off after cooking. Yes!, scales and all. Definitely a help with smaller models and I swear it tastes better that way.

Hey Robbie. Love your work. When you are retrieving a Strike Tiger Nymph or paddle tail, we always see the end of the rod and how you are twitching it. Just wondering what rate you are reeling it in whilst doing this? Is it possible to see some footage of how quick you are reeling it in as you are twitching the rod please? Thanks.

Hi mate, I like to try and reel it in as slowly as possible. I can go slower with smaller jigjeads, but then I lose casting distance. There's no real technique. I just reel it in as slowly as I can get away with and dance it around to make it look alive.

Great video mate. I had to lookup Bell End. Ohh dear……Too many jokes….. On a forum a kid might read. Here’s an original for you. When someone is being cranky or just having a go you can refer to them as having sand in their nappy. I said it (have you got sand in your nappy today?) to one of my clients recently and they nearly wet themselves; their complaints evaporated quickly.

That second bunny didn't know which way was up for a second LoL Does putting the fish guts straight back into the water like that help attract the next fish, because it's basically burley?
@robbiefishing

I reckon it does. I catch a lot of fish near boat ramps and I reckon that might be why.

Hi Robbie, thanks for that information on Redfin rules, but it still leaves the question can you release a Redfin that has a hook attached and might act as bait for a larger fish or does that count as being in possession of a live fish because you have it held by the line?
