Fun fact: The S5 MAX is based on the Chinese P5, but added the water tank from the T7 for a "global specific" release. Its more or less a lower end design with the higher end T7 tank. S4 MAX and S6 Pure were also derived from the cheaper P5. The S6 MAX V was called the T7 PRO in china. They share the same motor layouts directly behind vac (hence same bin), where the original S5 and S6 were on left side. Roborock eventually went back to left/right side design on S7/T7S and newer/current bots. The main difference for pickup is the motor, but it's tuned differently as you can see in your results. IE: the 2500 PA motor having less CFM. It's unfortunate that you don't have a real S6/T6 to compare. As I mentioned.. S6 PURE = P5 and S6 MAX V = T7 PRO. Both are closer to each other than the OG model. S6 is closer to S5 in layout, but they're diff platforms.. RUBY vs TANOS. The P5 is based on RUBY. T7 PRO is TANOS-V (uses am android OS and 8 core Qualcomm CPU). S6 Is prob worse than S6 PURE for CFM (layout differences) but the algorithm and overall quality of the vacuum is a lot better.. (more cliff sensors, better wall sensor etc). You can see where Roborock really eff'd up on S7/T7S, but newer robots gained performance with alt motors.

Thanks for this - except, well, right now the S6 MaxV is unobtainable anywhere.

It's too bad the +500 touted pascal suction power increase with the S6 Max V didn't really add much at all in the 'real world.'
