I met Howard Jones a few times over 20 years ago in a record store in downtown Boston thumbing through CD bins. Super cool friendly guy. It was quite the surprise when I saw a new KSE music video and a guy I chatted with in a record store seemed to be their new frontman.

I met them in Chicago at the Aragon during a Taste Of Chaos show back in 2005! I was dancing around waiting in line to meet them & slipped on beer right in front of the guys-split my jeans right up the ass!!! I love Jesse and Howard. Howard was the perfect replacement for Jesse at the time. He sang My Last Serenade just like Jesse wrote it, just with alot more power and soul.😂 Howard brought KSE to new heights, but I got into KSE back in 2002 so I was stoked when Jesse got back with them.

while i was never a big fan of KsE, especially Jesse-era was kind of whatever to me, but i was fairly warm to End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies (that Dio cover was awesome too). i had gotten to see them live a couple times before Howard departed, and they have the best live sound of any "metal band" i have ever seen. now granted, 10 Years and New Found Glory are not metal, but they are runner ups for live concert quality, lol... P.S. Killswitch Engage is UNDER-RATED?! bruv... i listen to Norma Jean and Saosin, don't talk to me about under-rated, lol... merely one of KsE's biggest songs has more listens than ALL of Norma Jean albums combined, don't talk to me about "oh, they are an under-rated metalcore band" that's like people saying that Kendrick Lamar is an underground rapper, ahaha...

Personally, I wouldn’t consider KSE to be underrated or overrated. They’re definitely a highly influential band in the Metalcore sub-genre. Perhaps they can even be considered one of the “Big 5” of Metalcore.

stupid when people try and compare jesse and howard 2 vocalist with there own sound period both great i prefer jesse sound when comes to killswitch think his vocals are alot more heavier than howards but not saying howard wasnt good jesse was the original singer to so i new killswitch from alive or breathing so damn heavy love it but loved howard as well just two different type of singers howard is alot more cleaner vocals and kinda soul in a way idk if thats way to describe howards voice but jesse is more raspy then clean which i love when comes to metal bit love them both awesome to see howard still doing his thing

Killswitch with Howard is one of the best bands ever. Killswitch with Jesse is nothing special. Jesse is a dime a dozen metal singer where Howard is a once in a generation singer.
