What music used to be was something real, full of feeling, a bit of heartache and lots of joy just to be alive. When Rod was young I never really heard the absolute beauty in his voice. Too busy being a rock and roller to pay attention to the finest details. There will never be another Rod Stewart. I understand why he was disappointed that he was not considered the best singer of that time. Listen Rod, don't you doubt for a second that you are among the greatest performers to ever grace the stage anywhere or anytime in this solar system.

I respect your opinion...but Faces certainly had no Jagger, no Richards, no Wyman and no Ronnie Wood....did I say Ronnie Wood? Oh I forgot, the best Faces had went to join The Stones....this stupid Ronnie left the "greatest English rock and roll band" to join that obscure, mediocre Stones band!

Miss the old style of a concert, people so close no barriers and no one attacking. Of course there was the crazy in bigger concerts, but nothing like it does today. I loved the Faces, everytime I look back it puts an ache in my heart and at the same time so so happy and feel so good. (Also when I listen/look at the Small Faces). I adore/ love all of them, but my absolute favorite is Ronnie Lane for so many reasons. I really miss the ones who have passed on, but I'll be looking for them. A time in music that will never be again and am grateful I got to live in it at the perfect age. Grew up with all the great British bands that invaded us and thank God they did !!!!!!! For me goes back to the 60's when they all invaded my 💘. ☮️🙏💜

Sometimes but not in this instance. They start "It's All Over Now" slow, sloppy, disorganized but then find their way and pull it all together into a rhythmic, rousing groove. The song's a true embodiment of what makes the Faces great. The only bummer is that the song's cut off at the end. But, hey, I'll take what I can get.

Rod and Ronnie were in the Jeff Beck group and Rod said in a moment of anger and desperation Jeff Beck fired Ronnie Wood and Rod told Jeff if Ronnie goes I ( Rod) go. Ronnie went to the faces and ask Rod to join for they needed a front man singer only. It's all on the Rod documentary.

But I do know a lot about heartache. I do know a lot about the heart being broken and I do know a lot about trying to get away out and there's a lot of mess going on around there. You still have to finish Vegas right? And that's not till the end of November. Like you always say, you're personality on the outside has to look like it's really wonderful. every band has its own place, we can"t compare the Stones with Faces, both have been great bands, in my humble opinion the Stones are one of the best five bands of all times, the other four are Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zepellin and Deep Purple.
