I don't care if you don't believe in aikido or not, that looks like a throw you could mix into any system. I'll try this out of a wrestling pummel, or mix it into hubud. Great stuff once again.

Sweet. Love your stuff Lenny. But I would call that a Harai-Goshi, not a Tai-Otoshi; which, as a judoka, happens to be my personal favorite :-) I love seeing you blend in the Judo with the Aikido more, as I do the same, along with BJJ. Keep up the great work!
@SLYSCOMBATIVECONCEPTS135 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I wasn’t sure if the throw was a harai goshi. That’s why I called it a tai otoshi.
@GTRGarageJapan5 жыл бұрын
@@SLYSCOMBATIVECONCEPTS13 Yeah, it's Harai-Goshi because you have uke coming over your hip versus "tripping" him. You could easily turn it into Tai-Otoshi if you wanted. Either way, for a non-Judoka your technique is great.

The first rogue warrior I knew about was Demo Dick Marcinko. Got to meet him while I was a 1/6 Marine from '77-'83. He taught us how to use the Draeger rebreather in a short course in Coronado.

Good technique! I don’t doubt it’s potential, but I’m wondering if I would irimi too deeply or worse too far off the line and get pummeled. My training is too different than this. Your last haymaker video is more in line with it. Not complaining-just feedback...

I usually enjoy your videos but this one is alittle farfetched and unrealistic...it might work if you’re alittle bigger than the other guy (someone like Lennys size) but someone smaller or equal in height isnt going to pull this off when full max power and speed are in the mix. It looks more like a cool movie move but isnt worth attempting..I can see 100 slip ups happening 10 different ways in a real sceraio if this attempted before its successfully pulled off like its demostrated here.
@GTRGarageJapan5 жыл бұрын
The hook of the punch is definitely questionable. I'd prefer to see this demonstrated by either slipping the punch and getting into a clinch to set up the Harai-Goshi.
