I've been lifting since 1974, and I've personally known of a few cases 'roid rage: a powerlifter beat his girlfriend so bad that she had to go to the hospital as an inpatient. I've known two bodybuilders who got stabbed in road rage incidents. At a powerlifting gym where I trained, two super heavyweights got into a very heated argument, and we watched to see the epic battle. One guy just calmly walked away, and we all thought that was pretty anticlimactic...until the guy came back waving a .45 around. That seemed to settle the argument. A powerlifter I knew went to prison because he was on the patio of a popular bar, and some drunk got in his face. He just turned around and started to walk away. But the guy yelled, "Don't turn your back on me! I'm talking to you!" And the guy grabbed him by the shirt to spin him around. But you don't just spin a 270 pound guy around by his shirt, and the shirt just ripped. In response, the powerlifter quietly picked up a heavy wrought-iron chair and brained the guy. Somehow, the guy lived, but barely. But my own experience was quite different. I had been competing for 8 years, and I had aged out of the teen class and wanted to level up out of the novice class, so I booked a coach, and he hooked me up with a doctor. During the whole 12-week cycle, I felt happy, almost elated, most of the time. Nothing really bothered me at all. Granted, the doses were much lower than in the previous examples, but I still gained 30 pounds and managed to retain about 20 pounds of that. I think a lot depends on the compounds and the dosages. That said, it's pretty clear that any amount of Tren will mess you up.

Seemingly, Dr. Milty was way ahead of his time in terms of gender affirming care.

This was helpful. I'm a woman who works out at a bodybuilding gym, and many of the men are on steroids. Only one of them has ever lost his shit at me, but it did happen, in September, and I'm not over it. It felt like being attacked by an animal. There was nothing behind his eyes. It side-stepped all the normal things that women can do to kind of reduce the intensity of a confrontation with a man. It was even worse because there were like 10 other men present but they were all either afraid of him too, or agreed with him, because no one said a word or tried to stop him. He didn't punch me but he made it clear that he was at great pains not to. It was just a verbal attack but I took a solid month off going to the gym at the same time of day. I still went daily, but I put a buffer of several hours which meant changing my work schedule. I'm not the same person after that. I suppose I'll get over it eventually but given that I used to admire him I feel totally weird about it. I guess I'm just lucky to be physically unharmed. I also know he's on cocaine so maybe it wasn't just steroids to blame. Ugh. Guys please try to not actually attack even if it feels good.

Dr. Mike is so straight up and honest, and sometimes it can just be really funny “you could be walking by and someone’s and getting beaten to death in front of you, and you’re just like mhm”. you go about your day 🤣

It is real, yes, but so it roid anxiety, roid depression, roid clarity, roid euphoria (common with dbol), and a whole host of other emotions. Roid horniness is the worst of all. Life can be really difficult when you’ve taken vows to be monogamous but the androgens are telling you you want to smash everything of age that walks. Or ambulates in any capacity. I don’t discriminate against the disabled. Rage is just the emotion that gets all the headlines

Musth is a stage male elephants go through in mating seasons, where their testosterone levels skyrocket. Between 60-150 times the usual reproductive hormone balance, and many zoologists will tell you that this the the most dangerous animal on the planet in that period of time. Makes sense, it's a 5 ton animal with skin that regularly resists medium caliber bullets with tusks. Yikes. Human's hormonal biology and physiology works different, sure, but there's still a ballpark to be made in this instance. The neurological effects of massively elevated testosterone levels might somewhat blanketly apply among vertebrates and mammals.
@annab8317Ай бұрын
yeah and they treat it by tying them to trees and starving them to drop their T, i.e. basically shredding them like it's prep week. musth elephants are a great argument against anabolics, they are definitely not having a good time
@krossxeye660Ай бұрын
@@annab8317 It's metal, miserable, and weird. I was going to make a joke about guys going into musth and then I thought for literally 3 more seconds and went "Nope. No anabolic effects, just rage"

Failure to perceive emotional distress in yourself is so true, I remember I would tell my girl “I’m upset” and that’s about it, I didn’t know why or what and it’s so surfaced leveled that it didn’t matter at the end of the day
