Great video - perfect for me with a faulty garage door controller (exactly same model) and didn't know where to start!. Overrode the safety controller to discover that was faulty and reset the circuit board following your very clear and well presented step-by-step instructions. Using the empty board on the desk to show clearly how to wire it up was an excellent way to present it. Thanks very much for saving me an expensive call-out !

@@aaanton11 I spoke too soon ! it worked fine for a couple of days but is now 'flipping' between up and down movement. just juddering an inch up and and inch down repeatedly (even after re-setting it). Does that mean the circuit board is probably faulty ?

Excellent Video. Helped me to mend my Garage Roller Door by bypassing the Photocell - which showed up as all lined up and OK - but the light on the Controller kept blinking and the door just would not move. Many Thanks indeed.

In case anyone is interested it was a faulty sensor which I replaced. I was quoted £720 for a new control systsem by my friendly Checkatrade garage door man. So I decided to investigate myself. Ansa still have the two critical spares- sensors and PCBs. I did not find them easy to deal with but once over that, with the help of the video the fault is easy to correct. Cost £75. Now I need to replace the light....................

Brilliant video. My door has a constant red led after the 4 flashing light. Switch off and on again all ok but now the door if requested to open just cycles up and down quickly? I will reset the board as you mentioned. Wish me luck

Than you for the video. I have different problem. I have no photocell fitted the problem is that my key fob won't close the door. If I keep the main button on the control unit on then it come down. If I let go it stops. I have to keep the main control button for down on until the door closes. All I did was replace the batteries in the door remote sensor. Any advise.

Brilliant video! Very clearly explained. My garage door makes an annoying alarm noise when the photocells are blocked for about 10 seconds. The door is fully up at this stage and it is not travelling. So for example if I am stood in the doorway for any longer than 10 seconds it starts to alarm. I like the safety feature that photocells afford i.e. stops the door moving if it is blocked but I just want to turn the sound off. Is there a jumper or dip switch that I can set to do this? It is a Neco power supply unit. Thanks.

Great video mate thank you it gave me the confidence to change the pcb. Just a few pointers that may help others as I had a bit of a chew on. The original Henderson remotes are not compatible to the new Ansa pcb. So new remotes where required. Also my original photocell was acting up with great help from the people at Ansa it was found I needed to attaché to the 24v live and not the 12v. Thanks again much appreciated.

Anton, many thanks for this video - really helpful. My door (Henderson) appears to have the same controller as yours, BUT no photocells, instead there is a door bottom edge sensor (in a rubber strip). There seems to have been an intermittent fault for some time where the battery in the wireless box on the door was going flat very quickly (1to 2 weeks). Right now the door goes up OK but I need to press and hold the button to manually bring the door down. Any pointers for this especially regarding the different sensors? Dave

Hi, Great video thanks! I have a roll smart rs1 roll smart unit. The red led comes on and then goes off within seconds when its powered up. I've followed your guide and have concluded the control panel needs replacing. Where did you get the replacement PCB from? I can only find full units at around £180-220. Very interested in just the PCB replacement for obvious reasons! Thank you in advance!

Update. I thought it was worth sharing this in the hope it may help someone else. After spending 3 hours researching and trying everything I could find on the internet and that I could think of, I'd given up and was resigned to buying a new board/unit. Throughout I had not used the remotes for the door as I didn't consider it would generate a different outcome to the button on the unit (and they were not to hand in the garage). When I eventually tried the remote, the red led came on(and now remains on as it should) and the door opened! It is working as normal now, I don't pretend to understand it but im very happy its working!

Had to line it up because the sensor amber led was flashing. now solid but red light on controller is still flashing fast even after doing one of your resets.

Great video, I have the same controller and when I open the door it only goes 3/4 of the way up. I have to press the switch to knock it down slightly and then press again and it goes up to the top. Could you point me in the right direction please? Thank you

Great Video and very helpful. I have 2 roller doors side by side. One works perfectly but the other one has a long delay before closing. It works straight away when you press the button to open it, but I have to hold the button on continuously for it to close and there is about a 5 second delay before it reacts, then if i take my finger off the button it immediately stops and I have to go through the whole procedure again. Hey Anton great vid. Picked up so much from single concise video than having to watch several and try and make best of it. Your link for the control panel is a different make to the model in the vid which is identical to mine. Is the Ansa model version not available. Can i be sure the Neco model will work with the model on vid that include the photocells - Thanks again

Great stuff Anton - my control unit has a reset button in the top left hand corner. The door occasionally stops working and I have to open it manually from the outside. When I remove the front cover and reset the unit it works fine again. Then it all happens again later! Could it be the PCB that needs replacing? Also you don't mention the DIP switches. Cheers, John

it may well be the thermo cut out in the motor, if its pulling too much power it will trip, once cooled down it works again, it is also possible the pub could be faulty, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Excellent video, I have same unit, I opened door which worked fine I then stupidly unplugged the garage door to then use socket to plug in hover to clean car, then once plugging back in garage door it won’t go down by pressing button, I closed door manually with metal spinning hook, trying pressing button but still won’t open or close, took front panel of fuses are ok light statuses inside is green but won’t change when pressing button, ie door open or close lights, I have light sensor but yellow and green lights on and when step in front yellow goes out and red light flashes on unit, any help would be much appreciated ???

We have secureglide door which does not close in wet weather. It does close when we use the over ride button. We think it’s sometimes do with the bottom trim sensor maybe the seal is leaky. Do you have any ideas what might cause this. During dry weather it works ok. Any web sites that explain how the bottom trim works and any checks we could carry out. Steve

You need to grab a multimeter and check to see if there is a voltage to the motor when you press the button to lift the door, it does sound like a control unit issue but worth checking the motor feed to be sure, the wiring is all explained in the video, I also have a video on replacing the door motor, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I have problem of door starting to open but then stopping after three inches. If i am quick and get my under it and apply a bit of lift it will then go all the way. Any suggestions? Type is same as yours.

Quick update. I tested my control unit as per your video. Concluded the controller is busted. I also tested the roller motor by winding the door down a bit, about a 1/4. With the power unplugged, I wired the 240V +ve supply to the L1 of the motor. Later repeated for L2 (being careful as 240V live voltages). The door went up and down. So the controller isn't doing it's job. I am struggling to get a new PCB so have emailed ANSA. Anyone sles managed to get a new PCB? thanks

This garage door opener is rubbish, mine just ran out of warranty and is now being replaced with a NECO unit, had NECO in the past, fabulous unit, any remote can be programmed to it, my Gliderol will be up for sale today. Hate companies selling stuff where you have to ONLY buy that brand, terrible.
